‘You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”
It was a really difficult decision this week, being off work and having Monkey off from school has meant that we have had a number of days out. And I know it shouldn’t but it means that I take more pictures! Really I should be collecting more of the everyday moments too which I am particularly bad at, although I do seem to be getting better at getting in the picture and have had several this week! Whoop. Hopefully it will continue…
Saying that…the one I have chosen of Kipper this week is this one from a little mini photo shoot I did. I have been after a rainbow rug for a while so when I saw this one I jumped on it. Kipper is in Monkey’s old nursery and I have not made any changes apart from putting the curtains through the wash and changing the name plaque on the wall. I am starting to feel a little guilty about this fact…
The old changing mat is split, so I was looking for a brighter version and ended up with a matching rug and sheets too (shhh). I think it maybe the start of something. Im not sure how Hubby will feel when I tell him I want to decorate his room… initially I was planning on doing it around his second Birthday so I can gauge what he’s in to. But I am staring to feel that #mummyguilt! Photos were taken for My Rainbow Baby post.
I have chosen this one for Monkey which was taken when we went to Wakehurst specifically for the bluebells. We visited this time last year on the day before I went into hospital to have Kipper. I totally underestimated how emotional I would find the trip, especially as we ended up in the exact same place for photos. I like this as its not posed in anyway and there is no grimace. Monkey is starting to loathe having his photo taken and every now and again it becomes a real negotiation point. Thankfully this one wasn’t!
As promised heres one of me with Monkey on the Gruffalo ride at Chessington World of Adventures … which we both loved!
Good luck with the return to the school run next week… roll on May half term!
