‘You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”

Kahlil Gibran

It was a really difficult decision this week, being off work and having Monkey off from school has meant that we have had a number of days out. And I know it shouldn’t but it means that I take more pictures! Really I should be collecting more of the everyday moments too which I am particularly bad at, although I do seem to be getting better at getting in the picture and have had several this week! Whoop. Hopefully it will continue…

Saying that…the one I have chosen of Kipper this week is this one from a little mini photo shoot I did. I have been after a rainbow rug for a while so when I saw this one I jumped on it. Kipper is in Monkey’s old nursery and I have not made any changes apart from putting the curtains through the wash and changing the name plaque on the wall. I am starting to feel a little guilty about this fact…

My Rainbow Baby

The old changing mat is split, so I was looking for a brighter version and ended up with a matching rug and sheets too (shhh). I think it maybe the start of something. Im not sure how Hubby will feel when I tell him I want to decorate his room… initially I was planning on doing it around his second Birthday so I can gauge what he’s in to. But I am staring to feel that #mummyguilt! Photos were taken for My Rainbow Baby post.

I have chosen this one for Monkey which was taken when we went to Wakehurst specifically for the bluebells. We visited this time last year on the day before I went into hospital to have Kipper. I totally underestimated how emotional I would find the trip, especially as we ended up in the exact same place for photos. I like this as its not posed in anyway and there is no grimace. Monkey is starting to loathe having his photo taken and every now and again it becomes a real negotiation point. Thankfully this one wasn’t!

As promised heres one of me with Monkey on the Gruffalo ride at Chessington World of Adventures … which we both loved!

Good luck with the return to the school run next week… roll on May half term!

The first picture looks perfect enough to be an official Little Bird photograph, it is gorgeous!

Crazy how a place can stir up so much emotion. So much has happened since your last visit, only natural x

That photo on the rainbow mat is absolutely stunning. I am also a lover of more natural photos as their little personalities just shine through 🙂 #LivingArrows

Oh! I love that rug! Where did you get it from!? Those bluebells are lovely too, and how sweet that you ended up at the same spot as you did last year.

That rainbow rug is awesome! And don’t feel too guilty about not decorating – my littlest never even got his own room, he just had to move in with his brother! And the bluebell picture is lovely – I feel like we should go and find some before they’re all gone 🙂 #LivingArrows
