Win a Family Ticket for Monski Mouse Southbank Family Disco

Mum and DJ, Monski Mouse  is back on the Southbank for the summer, from this Sunday 7 May.  Monski Mouse’s Baby Disco Dance Hall is perfect for a London family day out with your 0-5’s, burn off the calories, while grooving in the sumptuous 1920’s-style Spiegeltent to some rocking tunes.

An introduction to Monski Mouse:

I have been performing the character Monski Mouse since 1992, when I came up with the idea at art school, and started presenting on community television in Adelaide, Australia. Always having been a lover of eclectic music and LOVING dancing in 2000, I played my first DJ set as my character, Monski Mouse in a little pub in Sydney called The Hollywood Hotel. Owned by ex-Hollywood starlet Doris Goddard, who’d played opposite Bob Hope in her younger days and returned to Sydney opening her fabulous pub. This first gig, led onto more and more shows, and I played mainly arts festival clubs internationally at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Melbourne International Comedy Festival and many more.
In 2010 I gave birth to my beautiful little creative soul, Monalisa and suddenly the late-night DJ gigs were becoming much less attractive. I got together with some early childhood theatre friends who helped me flesh out the idea to create a ‘baby disco’ show for parents and carers who like to boogie and their little darlings. Monski Mouse’s Baby Disco Dance Hall was launched at the Adelaide Fringe Festival in 2012, and I haven’t looked back since, as the show has struck a chord with audiences and I am having a blast!
In 2017, I will play 38 shows across the UK in London, Brighton Fringe, The Great Yorkshire Fringe and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. I am still a one-woman-band, solo, independent performer, so any support you can offer in helping to get the word out about the show to your networks and reading audiences is so, so appreciated and vital in sharing the disco-dancing-love!
Monski Mouse, has designed the Baby Disco Dance Hall as a super-fun session of dancing and play with your small person. Dress to impress disco style and get your disco-dancing-booties on! That means you too Mum & Dad!
