‘You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”

Kahlil Gibran

Oh my goodness I can not believe that we are halfway through the year! I feel like its racing by so quickly and we don’t have the time to sit and watch it drift by. I always worry we miss too much, I am so glad I started joining in with Living Arrows because if nothing else at least I have a weekly diary. Last weekend we had a number of Birthdays and a number of parties!

Monkey is getting very excited about his superhero party which we holding in the next couple of weeks. However last weekend was the party of one of his little NCT friends who had this brilliant Lego do. As you can imagine Monkey had a brilliant time with all sorts of lego activities to get up to. For some reason he really wanted to wear his Superman outfit. I had taken a spare set of clothes with me incase he had a wobble when no-one else turned up in costume. But he said to me that he didn’t care if he was the only one and proceeded to wear it through the whole party as happy as anything. Because ‘he was different’. The photo is when he collected his Master Builder medal at the end of the party.

I chose this photo of Kipper as it shows his personality, on Thursday night we popped to the pub to have pizza for dinner. Kipper was already in his PJs and had already been fed. Not content with not having something in front of him to nibble on we gave him a plain slice. He proceeded to rub it into his blonde hair and all over his face… Im not sure if he actually ate any of it. If I didn’t know better it was almost in disgust of the fact we were all eating and he was not. Of course he thought himself hilarious!

Last weekend was my father in laws 78th Birthday, we all went out for dinner to celebrate. I dressed the boys in matching shirts in the hope I may manage a nice photo of them together. Guess again…. this was the closest I got. A couple of seconds before this photo was taken Monkey was trying to take Kippers toy off him and he was growling at the top of his lungs in protest.

Never mind I suppose there is always next weekend for a nice brotherly photo!

Have a good week everyone xx

What a great attitude Monkey has! It’s always good to be a bit different 🙂 Love them in their matching shirts – hope you can get a great shot next time (this is going to be my eternal battle soon isn’t it!) #livingarrows

Taking photos of siblings is so, so hard isn’t it?! And sod’s law with Kipper’s hair – definite protest at you all enjoying it without him – and being taken out in his PJs! How dare you! hehe x

Haha, children never cooperate when you want to take a nice photo of them do they! Love the idea of that lego party though, what a good idea for a party theme! I bet Monkey will absolutely love his superhero party too, such a classic theme, always a winner! x #LivingArrows
