  • AD | Hot Summer days spent at the beach. I am so looking forward to the Summer Holidays so that we can spend time together as a family running in and out of the surf. It’s these memories that stay with the boys. If we wake up and the sun is shining and I ask them what they want to do, both boys always say the beach. They are in their element running in and out of the sea, building castles and flying kites. Of course no trip to the beach would be complete without a cheeky ice cream. After all that’s what hot Summer days are all about right? #KinderIceCreamUK
  • S U N D A Y • 1 4 / 0 7 AD | We have had a lovely weekend relaxing in the woods with @featherdownuk in Church Stretton. It was exactly what I needed to get over the jet lag! We went bug hunting, played outside, went in the hot tub, cooked dinner on a stove, played cards, visited the market town of Ludlow and it’s castle, nosed round Aston Scott a historic working farm and showered under the trees. As far as I’m concerned glamping is the only way to go. We were so impressed with the facilities including super comfy beds with very thick duvets, a fridge, a flushing loo and usb sockets. We couldn’t have asked for more.   • F R I D A Y • 1 2 / 0 7 AD | Yay it’s the weekend and we’ve got something to celebrate. We will be taking part in the Great British Racing’s Under 18s Race Free this Summer. We will be sharing our experiences here on Instagram and over on the blog. As part of Great British Racing’s ‘Under 18s Race Free’ initiative, there are 60 racecourses throughout Great Britain where under 18s are admitted free of charge to the vast majority of fixtures throughout the year, when accompanied by a paying adult. Over the summer holidays there are more than 200 fixtures up and down the country, including 50 special family days with additional activities put on for families and young people.   • T H U R S D A Y • 1 1 / 0 7 And we are back! So far I’m trying to beat the jet lag and have been up for over thirty hours. Kipper is now in bed and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that he sleeps all the way through! We landed about 7.30am and I’ve done two loads of washing and unpacked. 🙌🏻 This was taken at the top of Whistler mountain. It already feels like a life time ago.   • T U E S D A Y • 0 2 / 0 7 When mummy asks for one more photo in the poppies...This was taken at the weekend before Kipper and I got on a plane and flew ten hours to Vancouver for my brothers wedding. We are here for ten days and I am struggling a little with the time difference. Yesterday was a little bit of a blur as we try to work through the jet lag. Although we did manage to celebrate Canada Day in Whistler with a play in the park and watching the parade. Today we are planning on going up the mountains ahead of the wedding tomorrow. I will be sharing highlights from our time here in my stories if you want to see more. This poppy field is in Houghton near Arundel and if you are quick you may just catch it, the bottom corner was still pretty vibrant.
  • W E D N E S D A Y • 2 6 / 0 6 This one turned 7 today ... well technically in about an hours time! I have no idea where the last seven years have gone. It seems crazy to think how quickly it’s gone. He’s such a considerate and caring little boy. Looking out for his fiends and little brother and we are so very proud of who he is growing into. #sevenyearsold
  • M O N D A Y. • 2 4 / 0 6 AD | I’ve not had the best day and I am currently having a glass of wine to compensate. It feels doubly harsh after such a brilliant weekend spent celebrating my 40th Birthday in Norfolk with @norfolkcottages @originalcottages . I couldn’t have asked for a better location or a more perfect property. It had the kitchen of dreams ♥️ check out my stories to see more. On Saturday we spent the day crabbing in Cromer on the pier and caught nine crabs! Not bad for total beginners. Kipper was also fascinated by all the stones picking them up and throwing them around.   • W E D N E S D A Y • 1 9 / 0 6 AD | I have always wanted the boys to love books and enjoy reading. We read to them every night before bed as a minimum. But quite often they will pick a book up during the day too. Monkey will now read alone but Kipper will often request that you read it to him. Last weekend we enjoyed the new Baby Touch: Animals book. Baby Touch is a brand that I have gone to time and again when looking for books for the boys. The interactive elements make reading fun for the little ones. Their latest book has a new contemporary feel. The animal tabs make it easy for little hands to turn the pages. The fabrics used on each page allow Kipper to explore his other senses and give us something to have fun with and talk about. He loves this book asking me what all the animals are, feeling them as he goes. It works well as a first word book and for toddlers it’s a good way to expand their vocabulary.   • T U E S D A Y • 1 8 / 0 6 AD | I feel as though I’m already racing towards the weekend. Funny how a couple of super busy days at work can make you feel that way? Today I was at a conference and spent the whole day on my feet. If you follow me then you will also know that we travel a fair amount. Which is why I was so pleased when I found out about @fitlegseverydaylife who are spreading the word about the everyday benefits of wearing compression socks. Wearing them increases blood flow to the muscles and improves circulation. Helping to relieve tired achy legs and swollen ankles and feet. Which I definitely needed today.   • M O N D A Y • 1 7 / 0 6 AD | If you have been following my stories then you will know we spent the weekend at @altontowers as part of our Brand Ambassadorship with @konfidenceuk .The boys had an amazing time especially in the waterpark. We spend a lot of time exploring the UK and Europe and inevitably a beach or a pool is involved. The thing I really love about this brand is that their products have been designed by parents for parents. The swim jacket Monkey is wearing here, was originally created by the husband and wife couple when they were unable to find suitable flotation devices for their own children. This really resonates with me, because they get it. They needed the peace of mind just like I do with Monkey and Kipper. The swim jacket gives me that.   • F R I D A Y • 1 4 / 0 6 When we went to Venice in half term there was one photo I wanted to get. And it was this one. When a neighbouring gondolier grabbed the camera and took it for us I was a little panicked that it wouldn’t end up the picture perfect moment I wanted. Turns out you don’t need to take thirty photos to get a good one. 🤣Over on the blog today I’ve been sharing my tips for taking a toddler to Venice. It never occurred to me that if maybe a daft idea with all that water... But I had a lot of questions about it so if you are wondering about practicalities head over for a read.
