‘You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”

Kahlil Gibran

Last weekend we decided to make the most of the good weather and visit Legoland. Monkey was so excited by the prospect of going on the rides that weren’t open during the Christmas special. Of course by the time we got there it was already really busy and we only just managed to get into the carpark. Needless to say we only went on three rides all afternoon! I was expecting that we would not get as much done but I was surprised by just how little we managed. Really I should have known better than organising a trip on the first weekend it re-opened for the season. He still had a great time and here is us on the first ride we tried out.

The only problem with going to such places as Legoland with an under one is there is not much for Kipper to get involved with. It doesn’t help that he is not a fan of the buggy and after a while will insist on being picked up. So what do you do while you are waiting for Monkey and Hubby to come off of a ride, well you give him your Ray Bans.. naturally. Kipper loved exploring the glasses although I didn’t manage the picture I wanted of him wearing them he did try to pull the arms in opposite directions!

  1. Lovely photo of you two. That’s a shame you didn’t get to go on many rides. I went with Alice last summer and we managed to get on lots of rides. Bless Kipper it’s hard when they don’t want the pushchair x #LivingArrows

  2. Aw its so nice to get a photo of you both…they always end up being selfies in our house too! Its a shame the park was so busy. We are contemplating a trip to legoland this year, it looks such a exciting place for little lego fans!
Hope the raybans are still in one piece! #LittleArrows

  3. Aw, sorry to hear you didn’t manage to do more but I think maybe inevitable…? Anyway, looks like a great day and the photos are lovely x

  4. What a lovely photo of the two of you and kipper looks like he is intriqued with your glasses. Such a shame you didn’t get to go on many rides.

  5. We absolutely love Legoland and had annual passes last year – we really made the most of it. But you’re right, until they get to 90cm there really isn’t much for them to do – I hope you all had a great time though! x

  6. It’s a funny old time isn’t it, when they’re too little to be out of the buggy and walking, but big enough to get fed up being sat there for too long! Lovely photos though, especially the top one. x #LivingArrows

  7. We are planning on Legoland this year. Quite soon hopefully! I was hoping it wouldn’t be ridiculously busy though…but sounds like it already is! We have a one year old, but I’m hoping he’ll be happy between his buggy and the carrier! Fingers crossed! #LivingArrows x

  8. I went to Legoland with J on my birthday last year and it was really busy even for a midweek trip, would love to visit again soon #LivingArrows

  9. That’s a lovely photo of the two of you. We’d love to go to Legoland but it’s quite a trek for us so I think we’ll wait until both boys are big enough to make the most of it. #LivingArrows
