M&Co Kite and Cosmic SS17 Collection & £50 M&Co voucher giveaway

M&Co Kite and Cosmic SS17: I have often written about how I struggle to buy boys clothing which is outside the normal navy and brown. I am always throughly depressed when out shopping, I often find myself looking through the one rail of boys clothes compared the half a dozen for girls. I was dismayed to discover one very well known retailer has removed all the boys clothing from our local store. Im not sure what it is with the retail industry. As a mother to two boys I still enjoy buying them nice things to wear. So I was very pleased when M&Co got in contact and asked if we would like to review the new Kite & Cosmic range for boys aged 3-13 years.

I instantly liked the colour palatte of the collection and it got the thumbs up from Monkey,  since he is starting to take an interest in what he wears now. It has a number of t-shirts but I also liked the smart nature of Kite & Cosmic. There were a number of tailored pieces including shorts, chinos and both long and short sleeved shirts. Perfect for our holiday when its nice to look a little smarter in the evening!

M&Co very kindly gave us the pick of the collection, Monkey opted for

Having never brought children clothes from M&Co before I was not sure what to expect. Price wise its extremely reasonable, yet like most little boys Monkey’s clothes need to be hard wearing. Theres no point having something that looks good if it doesn’t stand up to the rough and tumble that he puts it through. I was super impressed with the quality, both shirts although white are not thin and don’t look see through at all. Plus I noticed they don’t crease badly at all. I am totally in love with the cactus print too. Its grown up but fun.

The shorts and trousers are made from very thick cotton, that feels substantial. The chinos in particular have a really nice soft brushed cotton feel to them and I love the colour, so unusual. They also both have adjustable waists perfect for Monkey as it means we can get size 5-6 which he needs for the leg length but not in the waist. I really struggle with trousers and shorts that are not adjustable for him since he is so slim on the waist.

The Cosmic t-shirt really got put through its paces when we visited Bordeaux, getting drenched in the mirror fountain and it still held its shape. Its also made from a 100% cotton, meaning its light weight perfect for he hotter weather.

Overall we were really pleased with the choices, and the price! I was astounded I could get a smart pair of trousers,  shorts, a long sleeved shirt, short sleeved shirt and two t-shirts for £63. Its left me wondering why I have no considered shopping at M&Co for Monkey’s clothes before. Especially when I am always on the look out for cotton clothing because of his eczema. Everything is available to order online plus they offer free delivery to store or free standard delivery with orders over £40.

The range does look great value, looks good and stands up to a bit of rough and tumble (well demonstrated by the way). Definately going to get some items from them. I wonder if that guy who did the decking on that beach is available…good job isn’t it? 😉

I fully agree with the lack of boys clothes. Ive two older girls & was always spoilt for choice when shopping for them. It’s a real struggle sometimes for my son. Most of his wardrobe is the ‘same’
