Piccolo launches One for One campaign – because no child should go hungry
When I first started weaning Kipper we loved Piccolo’s food pouches. In fact he will still eat the stage two ones now given half the option (he’s so lazy with food) and we still buy the fruit ones for when we are on the move. So I already hold an affinity for the brand. But when I heard about their most recent campaign I decided that I wanted to help them spread the word.
The campaign One for One launches today the 4th of October, they firmly believe that no child should go hungry. The One for One campaign to help reduce the burden on parents struggling to feed their little ones each day. Their aim is very simple – they want to help reduce child hunger by donating Piccolo pouches to those who need them most. To make this happen they have teamed up with some of Britain’s top food banks such as Trussell Trust, and children’s charities to make sure little ones get the meals they all need.
The One for One campaign will see them donate at least 100,000 pouches to thousands of hungry under 5s through a series of grassroots events, social campaigns, in-store outreach and PR activity.
The new One for One campaign is part of Piccolo’s dedication to giving back. Already committed to giving 10% of profits to charity, the One for One campaign is the largest standalone charitable project Piccolo has embarked on, and the first of its kind in the supermarket world.
“At Piccolo we have always been passionate about giving back, and that’s why we’re so proud to be launching our One for One campaign. Feeding babies can be stressful at the best of times, which is why we are determined to support those who really do need our help by donating a Piccolo pouch for every pouch bought. We think the work done by these charities is invaluable, so we want to support them however we can.”
Cat Gazzoli, Founder of Piccolo
