‘You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”

Kahlil Gibran

This weekend has been one of running around, but in-between the craziness we went to a good friends Birthday party. They had an animal party where the children got to hold and pet a series of different animals. Monkey was in his element and had a great time. One of the animals which he got to cuddle close was a skin pig! Basically its a hair free guinea pig. Apart from his nose! I had never come across these before, it was quite cute but I think I prefer my animals with hair. When asked his favourite animal of the party was a chinchilla because it was so soft.

By the end of the party he had met a real life gecko (instead of the one on PJ masks), had a snake around his neck and made friends with a bearded dragon. Our first adventure of this half term… can’t wait for the rest of them.

Have a good week everyone x

  1. I looked at the animal in shock and wondered what on earth it was! Makes sense now – I prefer my animals with hair too! #LivingArrows

  2. What a gorgeous picture. We went to one of these last year and they’re amazing aren’t they?! So good that they get so close to them #LivingArrows

  3. What a bizarre creature. I’m with you, furry animals all the way. So brave of him, I’m not sure N would have touched all the animals #livingarrows

  4. Beautiful photo, those eyes! That’s an awesome idea for a party, I’ve not heard of skin pigs either before.

  5. Oh that photo is beautiful! I didn’t know your could get hairless guinea pigs either – what a strange little thing! I hope half term is being good to you x
