Monkey has a new passion and its a stationary shop in town. About six months ago I was blissfully unaware of the brightly coloured shop. However in the last few months of term Monkey asked for one thing, a new school bag. He didn’t care on the colour or the design the only thing he asked was that it was a Smiggle bag. Its the first time our six year old has really recognised any kind of brand when it comes to personal items or clothing.

The request for the bag coincided with the end of term report. Which he got exceeding expectation in almost everything. I was very proud and pleased of his effort level being graded as excellent in everything other than art. So I agreed to the bag as a well done. We made a special trip after school one Friday into town to buy said bag. He was so excited picking out his favourite in the shop. Being a little football mad it really was only a decision between two. I wish I had captured his face as he took the plastic bag from the cashier. Since there was still a couple of weeks left at school he used it for the end of term. We have also used it to travel to Portugal it was the perfect carry on and you can fit loads into it.

Smiggle sent us a selection of products just before May half term. One of which was their Design a Tee kit, which is a product designed to help limit screen time. The set includes everything you need to create your one of a kind smiggle t-shirt.

Monkey had great fun colouring it in. The cotton is very good quality and doesn’t stretch too much which is important with fabric pens. It has also washed really well keeping its colour and size. He really enjoyed expressing his individuality and it has proven a good distraction from screen time over the holidays.

Monkey doesn’t return to school until September but I have a long list of things he would like to take with him from Smiggle. I am sure there will be another shopping trip before the end of the Summer.

If you would like your own Design a Tee kit then you will be pleased to know that I have one to give away in size medium which is aged 7-8. To be in with a chance of winning please enter via the gleam application below and please note the T&Cs.
