Monkey will be seven in June. When he was little it took him a long time to cut his first tooth. In fact I think he was probably one of the last in our NCT group to do so. He has been desperately waiting for that tooth to fall out. Most of his little friends school have already lost several of their front teeth. He has been so desperate to join them. I think that he is one of the last to get a visit from the tooth fairy.
Around a month ago he mentioned that his tooth hurt and that he thought it was wobbly. Very slowly it has become more so. Then it happened. I went to pick him up from school and he comes rushing towards me laughing. Blood all over his white shirt. Grinning from ear to ear and explaining his tooth has fallen out! I must admit I did think to myself with that much blood I am not sure if it had fallen out or in fact has been helped on its way! A fact that was confirmed by the lady that runs the after school club.
I was surprised by just how far his second tooth had already come through. I felt a little guilty by the fact that he had been complaining about it hurting… That evening the tooth fairy arrived and left a £2 coin under his pillow. Now extremely excited he thinks that he will be getting £2 for every tooth. We did try to point out that it was because it was his first tooth. Hopefully the message will sink in by tooth number two otherwise someone maybe disappointed! Monkey lost his first tooth on Feb 4th 2019.
