We absolutely love picking out our Christmas Tree. It has become one of our favourite Christmas tradition. Over the years we have visited several Christmas Tree Farms in Surrey. Each year the boys get more and more ambitious with their choice of a live tree. Cutting your own Christmas Tree has become more popular in recent years. This has meant that there are lots more Christmas Tree farms appearing. If you know of any other choose-and-cut Christmas tree farms in Surrey that I have missed please let me know.
Christmas Tree Farms in Surrey 2024
Most of these Surrey Christmas tree farms sell trees directly from their fields and have acres of trees. However, a lot of these Surrey Hills farms sell pre-cut trees only. So it is worth bearing in mind what sort of choose and cut Christmas tree farms you are looking for.
Hans Christmas Andersen
- Location – Santa Fir Christmas Tree Farm, Guildford Road, Shamley Green, Guildford, Surrey, GU5 0SQ
- Opening Times – 7 days a week from the 25th of November to the 23rd of December 2024, 9 am to 6 pm. They are also open on the 24th of December from 9 am to 2 pm
- Prebooking – No booking is required.
- Varieties of trees – Nordmann Fir and Norway Spruce and also various potted varieties of real tree.
- Precut – Most of the trees come pre-cut but are standing on spikes so you can see the trees easily before making a decision on your perfect tree. There are no prices mentioned on the website.
- Other facilities – A delivery service is available from the Shamley Green Farm only but needs to be arranged in advance vis Cranleigh Garden Services. There is also a decorations shop. Father Christmas has moved to the Godalming site

Van Arnhem Nursery
- Location – Priorsfield Road, Godalming, Surrey, GU7 2RQ
- Opening Times – 7 days a week from the 25th of November to the 22nd of December 2024, 9 am to 4 pm.
- Prebooking – No booking is required.
- Varieties of trees – Nordmann Fir and Norway Spruce and also various potted varieties of real tree.
- Precut – Most of the trees come pre-cut but are standing on spikes so you can see the trees easily before making a decision on your perfect Christmas tree. There are no prices mentioned on the website.
- Other facilities – There is also a small decorations shop. Along with a brand new Santa’s Grotto It costs just £6 to visit Santa and every child will get a gift. Santa will be in his grotto from 10 to 3 pm (with a break for lunch) every Saturday and Sunday from 30th November to 15th December. You do not need to book you just turn up and queue.

Oxenford Farm
- Location – Oxenford Farm, Milford Road, Elstead, Surrey GU8 6LA
- Opening Times – 2024 opening hours are 23rd November – 15th December 9am – 6pm and 16th December – 23rd December 9.00am – 5.00pm.
- Prebooking – No booking is required.
- Varieties of trees – Nordmann Fir, Blue Spruce, Norway Spruce, Lodgepole Pine, Noble Fir and Fraser Fir
- Precut – Most of their trees are pre-cut, it is not possible to cut your own. They also sell potted trees which are grown in Scotland. All trees are grown by the farm, which has been growing Christmas trees for 50 years. Prices for 2023 as prices for 2024 are not on their website yet – start at £36 for a potted tree. Cut trees vary depending on the type chosen, but start at £15 for a 3ft Norway Spruce and go all the way up to £300 for a giant tree – 16ft Nordmann Fir.
- Other facilities – They are a working farm, so wellies are recommended, and they have limited toilet facilities. They have a Christmas shop selling Christmas decorations and a selection of wreaths. They also offer local delivery.

Wylds Farm Christmas Trees
- Location – Wylds Farm, Warren Lane, Liss, GU33 7DF
- Opening Times – Daily 9:00 am – 4:00 pm from November 23rd until December 22nd. For further details of the special events running see the website.
- Prebooking – No booking is required, if you are visiting at the weekend there will be a fee of £2 per person paid on the gate.
- Varieties of trees – Nordmann Fir and Blue Spruce. With prices starting at £35 for a 4ft tree and going up to £150 for a 10ft tree. Larger trees are avaliable and marked individually.
- Precut – There is no mention of pre-cut trees on their website. The farm no longer operates a tagging policy.
- Other facilities – There is so much to do! Much more than your traditional Christmas Tree Farm making this a full day out. As well as selecting own tree which is felled by one of the farm cutters. There are various activities in which you can take part by donating to charity. Including a post box trail so that you can post your letter to Father Christmas. Tractor and trailer rides run daily, The TwElf Days of Christmas Treasure Trail, Go Karts of all sizes for children and adults and a BRIO train track. At the weekends there is also face painting. With delicious seasonal street food available on fridays and at the weekends plus live music and entertainment. They also have an Apres Tree Bar which sells mulled wine, ale and winter cocktails daily. There is a shop on site selling Christmas gifts and decorations.

Christmas Tree Farm by Maurice Mandry
- Location – Christmas Tree Farm, Guildford Street, Ottershaw, Chertsey, KT16 0PJ
- Opening Times – Opens Wednesday 27th of November 2024 to the 23rd of December closing at midday. Outside of the 23rd of December opening times are 7.30 am to 8 pm both during the week and at the weekends.
- Prebooking – No booking is required.
- Types of tree – Norway Spruce, Nordmann Fir, Fraser Fir, Douglass Fir and Blue Spruce tree. No mention of prices on their website.
- Precut – Most of the trees are precut Christmas trees on their acre farm in Chertsey. It is possible to buy a living tree with a root ball to allow you to plant it out after Christmas.
- Other facilities – Also sell Christmas Tree stands and hand-made wreaths. This year they are also offering a meet and greet with Father Christmas for all those who buy a tree on selected dates from midday to 7.30 pm.

Crockford Bridge Farm Christmas Trees
- Location – New Haw Road, Addlestone, Nr. Weybridge, Surrey KT15 2BU
- Opening Times – Cut your own is open from the 30th of November to the 12th of December. It has a short Christmas season compared to others. You need to bring your own handsaw or bow saw.
- Prebooking – Yes you need to book if you want to cut your own tree. You do not need to book for a pre-cut tree. Booking opens in early November. Keep an eye on their social media channels for announcements of when it opens. Tickets are limited to ensure they keep their 8-year growing rotation. Booking system is the same as it is for their pumpkin patch. They have a £30 booking fee which is offset against the price of your tree.
- Varieties of trees – Nordmann Fir, Norway Spruce, Blue Spruce, Fraser Fir, Douglas Fir and potted trees. Prices vary depending on the type of tree you pick. They do not have detailed information on pricing but they suggest a 6 ft tree will cost between £40 and £50 depending on the variety chosen.
- Precut – Yes these are available and you do not need to book.
- Other facilities – There is also a farm shop and an ice cream parlour.

Chilworth Manor Christmas Trees

- Opening Times – not confirmed for 2024

- Other facilities – Chilworth Manor takes part in various events throughout the year. At the moment there is very little information about their Christmas trees. Keep an eye on their website or sign up for their mailing list to be kept up to date.

Kingsley Farm Christmas Trees
- Location – Kingsley Farm, Blackberry Road, Felcourt, RH7 6NQ
- Opening Times – Open every day from the 23rd November 2024 to Saturday 23rd December 2024, 9:30 am to 4:30 pm every day.
- Prebooking – No mention on their website.
- Varieties of trees – Selling three traditional varieties of tree. Norway spruce, the very popular ‘non-drop’ Nordmann Fir and Blue Spruce. The price list is not available on their website at the time of writing this.
- Precut – Yes, you can also select your tree and come back and get it at a later date. They will cut you tree for you. It is also possible to dig up a tree if you would like to keep it with roots which is unusual as many places will not allow you to do this.

Newdigate Farms Estate
- Location – Dean House Farm, Church Road, Newdigate, Surrey RH5 5DL
- Opening Times – Open from 9 am until 4 pm, 7 days a week from the 30th November until Xmas Eve 2024.
- Prebooking – No mention of requirement on their website
- Varieties of trees – Dig or cut your own Christmas tree (Norway Spruce) any shape and size up to 9ft is just £35. Pre-cut Nordmann Firs and Norway Spruce available up to 10ft. Last year they were running a special offer tagged trees starting from £5. Cash only.
- Precut – Yes they sell fresh cut trees
- Other facilities – They also sell handmade wreaths and Christmas tree stands. Please note they are a cash-only site.

Alice Holt Christmas Trees
- Location – Alice Holt, close to the Go Ape, Farnham, GU10 4LS
- Opening Hours – 22nd November to Tuesday 19th December 2024. 7 days a week from 9 am to 5 pm
- Prebooking – No mention of pre-booking.
- Varieties of trees – They sell sustainably grown British Christmas trees. Including the popular Nordmann Fir, classic Norway Spruce and a huge selection of other quality Christmas Trees. Most trees are between 3ft and 9ft although they do have larger trees if you contact them in advance. 2023 prices start at £25 for a 3ft Nordmann Fir, £15 for a Norway Spruce. A 6ft tree will cost £55 for a Nordmann Fir and £35 for a Norway Spruce. No details for 2024 yet
- Precut – Yes they sell freshly cut trees
- Other facilities – They also have a full range of accessories from tree stands to fairy lights in the on-site Christmas store. They do not offer delivery. There is a lot to do in Alice Holt’s Forest for children so you make a whole day of it.

Surrey Christmas Tree Farms selling cut trees only
There are several places where you can purchase Christmas Trees. The trees they sell are all local British Christmas trees and could be from some of the Christmas Tree farms mentioned above.
Christmas Tree Corner
- Location – Next to Alexandra Park in Surbiton
- Opening Times – They are part of Coffee on the Corner and so open all year round. No details yet as to when they will have their Christmas trees in. Although you can order online.
- Prebooking – none
- Varieties of trees – Nordmann Fir only
- Precut – Yes they only sell ready-cut trees
- Other facilities – Coffee! Each tree comes with a free hot drink. They also offer delivery in the local area for £5 which covers all KT1 to KT12 postcodes. This includes Kingston, Surbiton, Berrylands, Tolworth, Chessington, Thames Ditton, Long Ditton, Molesey, Hersham, Walton-on-Thames, Esher, Claygate and Hinchley Wood. They will also be offering a Christmas Tree recycling service in January.

TheNordmann.co.uk
- Location – St Marks Place, Wimbledon, London SW19 7NB. I know this is technically in London but I have included them as they have historically delivered Christmas trees to Surrey. Only opening a shop this year opposite the library in Wimbledon.
- Opening Times – The shop in Wimbledon will open on the 25th of November. They are delivering Christmas trees from the 27th of November all the way through to Christmas Eve. Although you can select your delivery date you can not select the time which is 8 am to 8 pm each day. They will also be updating their website with the available delivery dates.
- Prebooking – No, if you are looking for your tree to be delivered you do this through their website.
- Varieties of trees – Nordman Fir and pot-grown trees.
- Precut – Yes, expect to pay £48 for a 3-4ft tree, £68 for a 5-6ft tree to £78 for a 7-8ft tree. Pot-grown trees start at £48.
- Other facilities – They also sell a selection of Christmas wreaths through their website. And offer a Christmas tree recycling service in January.
