Here is a great selection of new cards which are designed for educational fun for young kids. We have all of them in our Yoto card collection, in the Yoto library and available in our Yoto app. The cards can also form the focus of some fun activities over the school holidays. All are aimed at young children around the age of five.
Biggest Ideas – Inventor of Braille
- Age – 5 year olds +

I always find multi-packs are good for road trips and long journeys.
- Why we chose it – Harry has been fascinated when we visited museums to see the braille information boards and to understand more about it. When we went to the Pantheon in Paris we found out more about Louis Braille. We were very interested in and so I knew this yoto card would be perfect for him.
- Synopsis – The Brainbots travel back in time to meet Louis Braille in France. Learning all about his childhood accident created a brand new method of learning and reading for partially sighted and blind people. There is a little Q&A at the end so that your child can test their knowledge.

Meet the Ancient Egyptians

- Price – £5.99 and is part of the yoto club membership monthly subscription
- Single card or card pack – single card. But also avaliable as part of a larger pack which includes the Ancient Greeks, Ancient Romans and Pirates. The multi pack costs £19.99.
- Why we chose it – We recently visited the British Museum and he loved seeing all the Egyptian mummies and finding out a bit more. So this yoto card seemed like a good opportunity to expand on that learning. These short educational yoto cards are the perfect length while travelling.
- Synopsis – Get to know the basics of Ancient Egypt from gods and worship to mummification, with easy-to-digest, humorous text that is reminiscent of the best-selling Horrible Histories series

- Why we chose it – When Harry moves into year 3 at school in September they will start to learn a language. Not only will this Yoto player card help with that process but it may also get him used to the idea of a different language. Great for little kids

- Why we chose it – We wanted to introduce Harry to some poetry as his love for books, stories and reading increases. As the next step on from nursery rhymes. But I was struggling to find something age appropriate. This card is the perfect alternative to bedtime stories. With thirty-six poems he has the chance to choose which ones he likes and skip over those he is not too keen on.

- Why we chose it – Sometimes Harry can struggle to fall asleep. This new yoto player card from the creators of MoshiKids is in high demand. If you have not come across Moshi before they are an online platform. Which has games, puzzles, stories and audio books to help children fall asleep quicker and stay asleep longer.

- Why we chose it – Harry absolutely loves maths and it is his favourite subject at school. Therefore maths cards are a natural introduction for him to use his Yoto player cards for educational use. Plus he also has SATs this Summer as he transitions into a junior school.
- Synopsis – The interactive cards are made up of a series of activities under the topics above. The activities play in a random order to encourage children to return to the cards again for regular use.

The Human Body – Digestive System

- Single card or card pack – This is a single card. Although the yoto card can also be purchased as part of a multi-card pack of six cards. The six-card pack costs £19.99 and covers the digestive system. organs, senses, nervous system, immune system, respiratory system and circulatory system.
- Why we chose it – Harry is starting to learn more about the human body at school and is also a very fussy eater so it seemed a good place to start with these science yoto cards.
- Synopsis – The brain bots follow a piece of food from the mouth through the process of digestion, right through to it leaving the body. I know that Harry will love that it includes poo. There is a little Q&A at the end so that your child can test their knowledge

Educational Yoto Cards
Hopefully, that gives you a good selection of cards demonstrating some of the content cards available that have an educational focus. And don’t forget it is possible to make your own card so if there are not yoto products that meet your requirements you can record your own on blank cards. You can buy blank Yoto cards in the Yoto store. Also, do not forget that there is the possibility of free content. Via Yoto Radio and Yoto Daily a daily podcast which also has lots of hours of audio content for the whole family. As well as short stories and sound effects, both a great way to extend your yoto experience.
The radio station in particular is good for older children. If you are looking for fiction then Yoto also offers well-known stories by authors such as Percy Jackson, and Roald Dahl. Along with Disney classic including the Lion King and Little Mermaid. There are so many stories with lots of hours of entertainment I would challenge kids not to find their favorite books.
