If you are looking for things to do inside for kids in West Sussex. Or something that will wear the kids out then look no further than Jumpin in Burgess Hill. The inside giant inflatable theme park is the perfect place for kids to let off steam. We have been visiting since Jumpin Fun Burgess Hill opened several years ago. The boys really enjoy it and I think it is good value compared to other similar activities. If you are also planning a visit to Jump Burgess Hill then this will tell you everything you need to know before you visit.
Where is Jumpin in Burgess Hill?
Jumpin in Burgess Hill is located on the Victoria Industrial estate close to the Premier Inn and Tesco. Easily accessible from the A23. Due to its location, there is not much else to do without getting back in the car and either heading into the town or to one of the local parks. Parking at Jumpin Burgess Hill
This is a bit of a bone of contention. There is car parking outside the building where Jumpin is located. However, there is nowhere near enough for the number of people that visit. As we tend to book a morning slot we normally do not have any problem getting a space. However, it gets busier as the day goes on. This has led to people parking on the surrounding streets and directly outside on Jubilee Road. Sometimes not very sensibly. On our last visit, I noticed that Jumpin inflatable fun has put a stop to this by placing cones outside and putting signs up requesting people not park directly outside. I was pleased to see this, as it makes getting in and out of the car park difficult. Not only that but a child could easily slip between the cars and you not notice.
As it is located on an industrial estate there are plenty of free places to park around the corner and on nearby roads. Which do not create a hazard.
How much does it cost?
Sessions at Jumpin Fun Burgess Hill are £5 each per person (age 5 to 99) which makes it very competitive and great value for money. The preschooler and toddler sessions are priced slightly differently where the adult is included in the ticket with the under 5. They also offer sen sessions for those with special educational needs.
Session times at Jumpin Burgess Hill
When you book online you can select a time slot for your visit to the inflatable park. Each session is for an hour and when you arrive you are given a coloured wristband. Once your hour is up an announcement is made asking you to leave the inflatable area. It is a great idea to do it as it means those that shouldn’t be there are easy to spot.
Numbers are limited which I really like. They also run specific toddler and pre-school sessions. Both during the summer holiday and term time. Sessions run from 9 am in the morning until 4 pm in the afternoon. It is also a popular party venue which means the afternoon sessions are sometimes full. If you are only observing as an adult you do not need to pay to go on the inflatable or reserve a ticket.
What is there to do?
The layout of the inflatable has changed over the years, which is nice as it gives the boys some variety. The current set-up is the giant ball pit at the entrance. I will never get over how the kids do not tire of a ball pit. Even at 10, it was the first place Charlie headed on our most recent visit. Then there is a giant inflatable obstacle courses which run around the outside of a central area. The challenging obstacle course has various climbing sections, giant slides, jumps and even some zip wires. Although there is a minimum height for the zip wires. On our latest visit, there was also an inflatable target practice set up. Where the children could throw bean bags or kick balls inside an inflatable room at flashing targets. It was a real hit with the big kids.
Because numbers are limited during each session it doesn’t feel like there are too many children for the course. Giving the boys plenty of space to enjoy themselves at Jump Burgess Hill. We do try and visit in the first session of the morning, as we tend to find this quieter.
Upstairs next to the cafe there is a small soft play area for toddlers. Specifically designed for the under 4s. It means that they can play happily while the older kids tear around downstairs.
Food and drink options
There is a cafe on a mezzanine floor which looks out over the activity area. There is a reasonable amount of seating although it does get busy with parents having coffee while their kids play. As well as offering plenty of hot and cold drinks. The cafe offers sweets, snacks, slashes and ice cream. Plus they have a limited food menu which is very well priced. A jacket potato costs £5, panini £5, kids sandwich £3.50, hotdog and nachos £4, Pizza £8 and various other kids meals for £5 each. We have never eaten there so I can not comment on the quality of the food but the tea is always good! And the kids enjoy the slushies!
Top tips for a visit to Jumpin Fun Burgess Hill
- Do not forget your socks when you visit Jump Burgess Hill, as you will not be allowed on the inflatables without them.
- Before you go into the main area you have to attend a short safety briefing. The video is around five minutes in a separate room next to reception. area. So makes you arrive ten minutes early to do this prior to the start of your session.
- Lockers are £1 each, with the £1 being returned when you have finished. It is worth making sure you have one as every time I have been then do not have any change. Especially now all booking is done online in advance.
- Like many activities of this nature, you need to sign a waiver. I would recommend doing this online when you buy you tickets. Otherwise, you will ned to do it when you arrive. They have two terminals which means quite a queue can form, reducing the time you have in your session.
- Take water with you. Both boys even in the winter get incredibly hot and sweaty and need a drink in between laps of the inflatables.
- It is a great place to host a birthday party at Jumpin Fun inflatable park, there are party room downstairs and there is also th opportunity for private hire.
- The only thing I am not keen on is that there is no security barrier at the entry and exit. Like the sort, you get in soft play places. Now the boys are older they know not to walk off but when Harry was younger he would quite often attempt to escape.
In summary
We always have a great time and the kids always wear themselves out having so much fun. Quite often falling asleep in the car on the way home. If Burgess Hill is too far away then Jumpin also has inside inflatable parks in Sailsbury, Derby, Rochester and Cheltenham.

That looks like great fun for the boys, they clearly enjoyed themselves. Unfortunately the Jumpin parks are not close enough for my great grandson to make use of
