The boys love visiting a fireworks display and watching them light up the night skies. If you are looking for firework displays in Norfolk then this blog post has you covered. Many of the bonfire night events are organised by local charities, bonfire societies and small local communities. Therefore there is not always a huge amount of information available. If on reading this post you have more information on bonfire events in Norfolk or know of some others. Then please let me know and I will add their details to this article. 15 Fireworks Displays in Norfolk in 2023
Blakeney Parish Fireworks
- Date – 26th October 2024, maybe 27th if the weather if not very good
- Where – Langham Road, Blakeney, Nr Holt, Norfolk NR25 7PG – Downtown Norfolk Waterfront.
- Tickets – A free event and no tickets are required.
- Weather permitting it will be the 26th of October, if not then it will be postponed until the 27th of October. Keep an on the website for updates.
- This is a lovely local event that you can attend. Held on the Carnser next to the Quay it is subject to the tide times. The event is held early on a night when the tide is low. Overnight the tide will rise and the giant bonfire will be extinguished and cleared away by the high tide.
- You can also park for free at the Village Hall car park.

Thorpe St. Andrews Fireworks
- Date – Sunday 5th of November
- Where – Fitzmaurice Park, Pound Lane, Thorpe St Andrew, Norwich NR7 0UL
- Tickets – Tickets are £5 with under 3s free
- Entrances to the event are located on Pound Lane, Montrose Crescent, and Commonwealth Wat.
- You can enter the park at 4 pm and the fireworks are due to take place at approximately 7.30 pm.
- This is usually a very popular fireworks event to attend. If past events are anything to go by then there will be food stalls, a bar, and a funfair for the kids to enjoy. Be mindful that the fair may be a cash-only enterprise.

Hunstanton Fireworks
- Date – Saturday 2nd November
- Where – 5 Lighthouse Close, Hunstanton, Norfolk, PE36 6EL – Hunstanton Cliffs
- Tickets – For this bonfire night in Norfolk pay at the gate on the night no pre-booking of tickets is available. Prices are £25 per car. On foot, adults cost £10 per person and children and those over 65 are £5. A family ticket is also £25. Buy your tickets from Princess Hunstanston Theatre.
- Gates will open at 5 pm and the bonfire will be lit at 6 pm with a firework display at 7.30 pm. Parking is in Hunstanton Clifftop Car Park.
- Taking place on Hunstanton Clifftops you have one of the most incredible fireworks displays. There is also a family funfair, laser light show, delicious street food, and live music for your entertainment. Parking is limited so get there early to avoid disappointment. One of the largest fireworks displays in the area.

Fawkes In The Walks in King’s Lynn
- Date – Friday 1st November
- Where – London Road, King’s Lynn, PE30 1PE
- Tickets – Free fireworks event
- This is a great family-friendly bonfire and Guy Fawkes night celebration is organised by the local council. There are usually street food vendors, a funfair, live music and entertainment, as well as refreshments from food and drink stalls. The fun starts at 6 pm with the bonfire being lit at 6.30 pm. The fireworks are due to start at 8 pm.
- The entrance to The Walks from Seven Sisters/Extons Road. The library gates and the County Court will be closed in the evening from 7.45 pm. Anyone planning to enter the park after 7.45 pm is advised to use the Tennyson Avenue and Blackfriars Road entrances. Parking is limited

Hemsby Fireworks
- Date – No details for 2024 yet
- Where – Great Yarmouth NR29 4NH
- Tickets start at just £3.50 and can be purchased at the gate. Under 4’s are free
- Gates open at 5 pm with the fireworks starting at 8.30 pm
- Taking place on Hemsby playing field there is lots for you to see and do. There will be music, amusements, stalls, a play bus, and a fully licensed bar. There is a BBQ, hot dogs and a fun bottle tombola to get involved with. A great one for the family.
- This year there were also fireworks in the Summer. These ran every Tuesday at Hemsby Beach between the 25th of July and the 29th of August with fireworks at 10 pm and street acts at 5 pm and 9 pm.
Great Yarmouth Seafront Fireworks
- Date – 26th October
- Where – Central Beach, East of Jetty Carpark, Great Yarmouth
- Tickets – this is a free event
- This bonfire night in Norfolk is based on the seafront with spectacular fireworks starting at 6 pm. Free street performances take place from 5 pm with breath-taking fiery displays from Juggling Inferno and the unusual illuminated walking act the Lumens, who will be out exploring the Seafront.
- The display will take place East of the Jetty Car Park, between the Marina Centre and the Sea Life Centre.

Downham Market Fireworks
- Date – Cancelled for 2024
- Where – Stradsett Hall and Country Park Stradsett PE33 9HH
- The gates open at 4.30 pm and the entertainment starts at the same time.
- Early bird prices start at £3.50 with a family ticket costing £28 for two adults and up to three children.
- This is one of the largest firework displays in the area. The night of entertainment starts at 4.30 pm. And then you have fire dancers at 7 pm with the main firework display kicks off at 7.30 pm. The night will finish at approximately 9.30 pm. Not only do you have incredible entertainment but there are also stalls for delicious hot food and drink. There will also be plenty of children’s activities and there will also be a fairground. This is a great opportunity to give back as all proceeds go towards local charitable causes.
- There is free on-site parking. The only way to reach the venue is by private car.

Wroxham Barns Low Bang Fireworks Event
- Date – 1st to the 3rd of November
- Where – Wroxham Barns, Tunstead Road, Hoveton Norfolk, NR12 8QU
- Tickets – these need to be purchased in advance which can be done on their website. This is done slightly differently from other firework displays in Norfolk. Instead of tickets you book a square which takes up to 4 people and costs £45. Arrival times are staggered which you select when booking.
- This low bang firework display is perfect for young children or children sensitive to loud noises fireworks. There is also a live band and music show.
- The low-bang firework display is set to child-friendly Disney music and you get entry to the Junior Farm for the evening. Kids can enjoy the rides at the fun park too. You can bring a blanket or your own camping chairs to make the most of the evening. If you get hungry, the catering areas will be open, along with food trucks and a bar. The event will run from 5.30 pm to 8.30 pm and the fireworks will start at 8 pm. Free parking.

Cringleford Scouts Fireworks Display
- Date – Friday 1st November
- Where – Cringleford, Norwich NR4 6XF
- Tickets – These are only available online and must be purchased in advance. There is no option to buy at the gate in the evening. Tickets cost £6.50 for an adult, £3.50 for a child.
- You will need to walk to this event, or park away and walk, as there is no parking on Oakfields Road or the Recreation Ground.
- The gates open at the Cringleford Recreation Ground on Oakfields Road for the annual bonfire and fireworks display at 6:30 pm. The bonfire will be lit at 6.45 pm. The first fireworks display is at 7.15 pm. This one is a little more child-friendly. Then you have the main display that takes place at 8.15 pm. There will be food available which is a BBQ and a hog roast as well as a licensed bar. You will also have plenty of entertainment including a performance from the City of Norwich Pipe Band, children’s rides, and traditional games.

Taverham Fireworks Night
- Date – Saturday 2nd November
- Where – Taverham Scout Group Headquarters, Sandy Lane, Taverham NR8 6JR
- Tickets – these can only be purchased online with general admission costing £6.50 with children under five are free for a night of fireworks.
- As with previous displays gates will open at 6 pm with fireworks displays at 7 pm for younger children and at 8 pm for the grand fireworks. A great way to test younger children’s comfort with fireworks, because of the two different displays.

Fireworks Night at South Walsham Village Hall
- Date – Saturday 2nd November
- Where – School Road, South Walsham NR13 6DZ
- Tickets – Adult entry will be £5, with under 12s £2.50
- The gates open at 5 pm and the bonfire will be lit at 6 pm. The fireworks are due to start at 7 pm.
- This is a lovely local event where you can enjoy a bonfire, an epic fireworks display, and also some live music and entertainment. There will be refreshments of food and drink available, including a licensed bar, as well as kids’ activities and a raffle. The live musical performances will take place inside the hall.

We Love Fireworks at the Wymondham Rugby Club
- Date – Friday 6th November
- Where – Barnard Fields, off Bray Dr, Reeve Way, Wymondham NR18 0GQ
- Tickets – Adult admission starts at £10 per person children under four are free. Parking costs £7.
- Gates open at 5pm and the event finishes at 10.30 pm with fireworks
- It’s an evening with fireworks, large bonfire, a funfair, DJ, and street food market and food vendors at the Wymondham Rugby Club starting at 5 pm. They will also serve a range of drinks from the rugby club bar. Such a fun event to attend and a great one for family and friends to come together to watch the light show in the sky. They will also serve a range of drinks from the rugby club bar.

Autumn Lights – Norfolk Firework Display
- Date – Friday 19th October
- Where – Norfolk Showground, Dereham Road, NR5 0TP
- Tickets – There are early bird tickets available, adults cost £12.50, children from £5 with under 3 being free.
- Spectacular live entertainment by DJ Ryan Swain and performers as well as the best fireworks display and laser show at Norfolk’s iconic fireworks
- If you are looking for something pretty spectacular, this is one of the best bonfire night events in Norfolk. There is so much to see and do. There is a funfair for kids, entertainment with glowing roaming performers as well as fire breathers, and live music on the main stage. There are two fireworks displays with one early performance suitable for younger children.
- You can enjoy well-stocked bars, lots of hot drinks and food stalls to choose from. It might not be your traditional bonfire with special effects, but if you love fireworks then this is one of the best displays to see.

Potters Resort 3 Night Fireworks Weekend
- Date – Starts Friday 1st November – family short break
- Where – Hopton on Sea
- Tickets – are not required for this bonfire night in Norfolk as it is included with your holiday booking.
- If you were looking for something a little bit different this Bonfire night in Suffolk then you have to head to Potters Resort.
- They are offering a 3-night fireworks weekend which starts on Friday. You can enjoy comfortable accommodation, special events, sports facilities, West End quality live performances and full board included in the price.
- The fireworks spectacle promise to be spectacular and this could be a fun way to enjoy some quality family time together. Prices start at £559 for an adult, and £319 for a child for a weekend ticket and accommodation. You can book more than one room for larger families and they can accommodate larger groups.

Please note at the time of writing this it looks as though Norwich’s Big Boom fireworks are cancelled for 2023 and there is no mention yet for 2024. The display that usually takes place over Norwich castle has had to be cancelled for the fourth year in a row.
