The Ultimate Guide to Disneyland Paris Rides

The Ultimate Guide to Disneyland Paris Rides. When we visited Disneyland Paris in May half term for us it was all about the rides. Although we enjoy the Disney Parades and also the character meet and greets. Our plan on our day trip to Disneyland Paris in May half term was to go on as many of the best Disneyland Paris rides as possible. When we visited Charlie was almost ten and Harry had just turned six. Charlie was over 145cm and Harry 120cm exactly. I have tried to include everything that I think you need to know about the ride and have divided it into five different lands or areas to help you navigate this post. I have also included the rides in Walt Disney Studios Park Paris. Some of the rides were closed when we visited in May. So I have drawn on our experience from a previous trip where we stayed at Paris Disneyland for three nights in the Newport Bay hotel. One of the Disney Hotels in the Disney Village.

Disneyland Paris Rides

Disneyland Paris is quite a compact theme park but you do not want to be moving from one area to another. As it inevitably it gets busy and so you can easily get delayed when moving about and finding the best Disneyland Paris rides. You also don’t want to be moving back and forth between the Disney parks. Flitting between the parks wastes valuable time. Especially if you are only there for a day. On a day trip, it is all about being efficient with your time.

Direct Access Passes for the Disneyland Paris Parks

The other thing to note is that fast passes are no more. Instead, these have been replaced by Direct Access passes which you can buy per ride. Not all rides offer direct access, although many of the popular rides do. Prices vary between 5€ and 15€. You can purchase these through the app on the day of your visit and it gives you a time slot for the queue. You are only allowed to buy for three different attractions in one day. If you are staying in one of the hotels then you can buy an ultimate pass with prices starting at 90€ per person.

Discovery Land Disneyland Parid

When we visited on our day trip Discovery Land Disneyland Paris was our first stop. On the basis that there was a ride which we did not manage to get on last time we visited. But we really wanted to! In May 2022 quite a large area of Discovery Land Disneyland Paris is shut down for refurbishment. This included Hyper Space Mountain but we did go on this ride several times on our last visit.

Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast

I have to say it is on of our favourites. You go in cars of two and blast your way around various scenes from the movie the more targets you hit the more points you score. With bright neon lights and blasting noises as well as Buzz Lightyear himself makes an appearance to fight against Evil Emperor Zug. It also lasts a reasonable time unlike some of the other rides in the theme park. Part of the photo pass.

Top Tip – This is a popular ride although we did find that either early in the day when the park first opens or later towards the end of the day that the queues were less for this ride.
Height Restrictions – It’s a great fun ride and with no height restrictions it is suitable for the whole family. Harry even went on this during our first visit in December 2018 when he was just two and a half.
Direct Access – This is available when we joined the queue there was very little queuing and you still go around the element of the scene setting which is a nice touch. You walk past the direct access entrance to join the main queue so it is not hard to spot.

Orbitron Disneyland

This was our first ride of the day as it always has such a long queue later in the day. Quite often 60 minutes plus. I am not sure why Orbitron Disneyland is so popular on the basis that it is a fun ride but its not what I would class as one of the big rides. You sit in a shuttle and you go round and round a planet. There is a button at the front of the shuttle that you can use to control how high up you fly. I went on with Charlie and he ended up squashing me a little. Adults go in first and kids in-between their legs

Top Tip -If you want to try Orbitron Disneyland do it early as during our visit the queues were consistently 60 minutes plus
Height Restrictions – It is suitable for all heights and the whole family
Direct Access – is available for Orbitron Disneyland according to the Disneyland website although it was not operating when we visited. This could be because we went on the ride prior to 10.30 am when the direct access passes started to work

Disneyland Paris Star Tours

Disneyland Paris Star Tours is a 3D flight simulator experience where you move with the screen with dips and turns following spacecraft. It is a flight simulator so if you do suffer from motion sickness you may want to give this one a miss. If you don’t then you will be pleased to hear that there are over 60 different mission combinations so you are unlikely to get the same mission twice. Opening in 2020 it is a relatively new ride to the theme park and so is one of the most popular attractions. And one of two Star Wars rides at Disneyland Paris.

Top Tip – You have to wear 3D glasses so if you start to feel a little queasy then try taking these off as may help, the ride lasts around five minutes. If you want to try and avoid the motion as much as possible then sit in the middle. If you want all the motion then sit in the back row.
Height Restriction – riders for Disneyland Paris Star Tours need to be 102cm tall. Star Tours is not suitable for pregnant women.
Direct Access – is available for Disneyland Paris Star Tours.

Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain Disneyland Paris

Unfortunately, Space Mountain Disneyland Paris was shut when we visited in May. As it is one of Charlie’s absolute favourites he loves a roller coaster and one in the dark scores extra points. It is quite an experience with the Star Wars theme tune playing throughout. So much that it has stuck with me since we first visited. You get catapulted around in the dark as you race through a group of TIE fighters, with red and green blaster fire everywhere. Ends with the ultimate prize of destroying the Death Star. If you like dark rides then you will absolutely love Space Mountain Disneyland Paris If you are a Star Wars fan then you will absolutely love this! I just hope it is not too long until the refurbishment is complete at Discoveryland Disneyland Paris. Part of the photo pass and the other Star Wars rides at Disneyland Paris.

Top Tip – Space Mountain Disneyland Paris is a very popular ride. We used our fast passes on this ride when we visited several years ago. So you may want to consider buying a direct access pass. Head there early if you can. Check the queue times for Space Mountain Disneyland Paris on the app.
Height Restrictions on Space Mountain Disneyland Paris – 120cm and due to the nature of the ride I would suggest older kids. Charlie was only 6.5 when he went on it. But he is a bit of an adrenaline junkie and loves a fast ride. It is not suitable for pregnant women.
Direct Access – is available for Hyperspace Mountain Disneyland Paris.

Disneyland Paris Autopia

I can not believe that we discovered Disneyland Autopia for the first time when we visited the Disneyland Park in May. It is brilliant and it goes and goes which is nice for a Disneyland Paris ride where they can sometimes be a little short. You drive around the circuit in twos. Harry was too short to go on his own. So he steered while I managed the acceleration and the breaking. All I can say is that I am so very glad that there is a metal guide that the Disneyland Paris Autopia cars follow. Although he thought it was hilarious. The queues for Disneyland Autopia can look long but as the cars go out in groups it moves quite quickly.

Top Tip – The Disneyland Paris Autopia cars are staggered leaving so you should not run into the people in front of you and the ones behind should not catch you up. It felt like for a lot of the ride we were on our own on the track.
Height Restriction – the minimum height is 81cm to drive on Disneyland Autopia but the rider would need to be accompanied by an adult. The minimum height to ride alone is 132cm and the ride is not suitable for pregnant women.
Direct Access – is available for Disneyland Autopia. Although when we visited it was not operating but this could be because we went on it before 10.30 am.

Fantasyland Disneyland Paris

Fantasyland Disneyland Paris is the largest area of the theme park with the most rides and attractions squeezed into it. Many of the rides here are re-telling some of the Disney classics. A must for all Disney fans Fantasyland Disneyland Paris could keep you occupied for one full day on its own.

Sleeping Beauty Castle

The Disney castle is always a draw for everyone that visits Disneyland Paris. But did you know that you can actually go inside? Climbing the stone steps to the second floor you can relive the magical story of Princess Aurora. With some beautiful stained glass windows, open books telling the story and rich tapestries hung on the wall. You feel like a princess yourself! It is the best place to start in Fantasyland Disneyland Paris.

Top Tip – Take time to enjoy the castle and if you are really lucky while everyone else is on a ride you may get it to yourself. An absolute must for princess fans everywhere.

La Taniere du Dragon

So you have visited the castle upstairs. But you can also go underneath and visit the Lair of the Dragon! It is like a castle a walk-through attraction and means you come face to face with a moving roaring dragon which is huge! As it is a lair it quite dark in places and can get crowded at busy times. Although we with so many other things to do I think sometimes this gets missed.

Top Tip – Unlike many of the other rides and attractions it is completely unique to Disneyland Paris and does not exist in any of the other Disney sites across the world.

Blanche-Neige et les Sept Mains

Snow White and the seven dwarfs is a ride we did not manage to visit in May partly because of the wait times. But we have visited on a previous visit. One of the older riders in the theme park, it has recently been refreshed in 2021 and is based around the story. You move around the ride in one of the seven dwarfs’ beds as the story unfolds in front of you with various scenes. Of course you hard many of the songs as well from the Disney film.

Top Tip – The ride is designed for younger visitors but it is dark in places and there are areas of the ride, especially in the haunted forest scene which they may find a little scary
Height Restrictions – There are no height restrictions on this ride.
Direct Access – is not available for this ride and it is a popular one. The queues were over 40 minutes even in the early evening when we visited in May half term.

Les Voyages de Pinocchio – When you wish upon a star

Located right next door to Snow White and the seven dwarfs and just as popular. It is also very similar as you travel around various scenes from the story with the song ‘when you wish upon a star’ playing. The puppets remind me of those I use to have as a child many of the scenes are bright and colourful. Albeit just like its neighbour it can be a little dark in places.

Top Tip – As it is a Disneyland classic and also in some of the other parks this ride is very popular with 30-minute queues still at 7 pm in the evening when we visited. So if you are staying for several days I would use your magic hours one morning to pick this ride and Snow White up before the park opens to the public.
Height Restrictions – There are no height restrictions on this ride.
Direct Access – is not available for this ride.

Le Carrousel de Lancelot

We went on this towards the end of the day when there was no queue at all. We only had to wait for the ride ahead of us to finish and we were straight on. It is a traditional carousel ride with horses of varying sizes and colours.

Top Tip – The horse on the outside is very high and so we did have some grumps from Harry when Charlie got to go on this one. The person directing you onto the ride will give you a number which matches a set of horses. If there is a particular colour horse your child is after then you may need to work out the number or point to it!
Height Restriction – there are no height restrictions and the horses have belts to help keep little ones on. They vary in height and movement with the ones closest to the centre not moving. There is a carriage if the horses are not suitable.
Direct Access – is not available for this ride

Peter Pan’s Flight

I really love the Peter Pan ride at Disneyland Paris although it is short and a little jittery! It also has a tendency to break down. When we visited they were turning people away from the direct access gate because it was not working. While those in the queue waited patiently. Four people at a time go in a little boat suspended from the ceiling and you fly over London before entering Neverland. Coming face to face with Capitan Cook and watching Peter Pan defeat it and rescue Wendy. The styling of the ride is brilliant although you are left feeling that one go just isn’t enough.

Top Tip – Head here early as the Peter Pan ride at Disneyland Paris is a short ride and so you won’t feel cheated if you only have to wait a short time. It is a popular ride and the queues get very long. Especially if it breaks down. Potential for a direct access pass.
Height Restriction – There are no height restrictions on this ride. Although it is not suitable for pregnant women
Direct Access – is available with the entrance being off to the left as you look at the ride. You will still need to queue for a short time even with the pass but it is greatly reduced.

Dumbo the Flying Elephant

Another of my favourites, you take to the air in flying Dumbos controlling height by using a lever. Two people at the time to each Dumbo and children need to go on the inside. The Dumbo ride at Disneyland Paris does give you wonderful views of the castle and is much more comfortable than is twin Obitron. Another popular ride especially with small children expects long queues late into the day.

Top Tip – This is very similar to Obitron and both are popular so you may want to pick one or the other during your visit.
Heigh Restriction – There are no height restrictions on the Dumbo ride at Disneyland Paris
Direct Access – is not available for this ride.

Alice’s Curious Labyrinth

A maze with a difference as you solve riddles and come face to face with some of the iconic characters from Alice in Wonderland. Including the Cheshire Cat and the Queen of Hearts. If you can make it to Sleeping Beauty’s castle you will get a wonderful view of the labyrinth and Fantasyland.

Top Tip – This is a great attraction if you are suffering from queue fatigue as there is normally not much of a queue. On the basis that you walk through this maze at your own pace. Taking in as much or as little as you want.
Height Restrictions – There are no high restrictions but it is not suitable for pregnant women.
Direct Access – is not available for this ride

Mad Hatter’s Tea Cups

Your traditional ta cup ride but with a great theme and pretty lanterns hanging from the ceiling. As well as Alice in Wonderland music playing along with the minute and a half ride.

Top Tip – If you want to go faster then spin the wheel in the middle of the teacup to wild!
Height Restrictions – There are no high restrictions but it is not suitable for pregnant women.
Direct Access – is not available for this ride.

Casey Jr – Le Petit Train du Cirque

Or Casey Jr Circus Train Disneyland Paris is modelled on the train that appears in Dumbo. Brightly coloured carriages or cages whizz around an up and down railroad or mild rollercoaster. On our first visit, Casey Jr Circus Train Disneyland Paris was a firm favourite with Harry but visiting in May both boys had decided they were too old for it. But with its bright colours and lively theme tune I can understand why it is popular with the younger visitors. It also gives good views of the Storybook Land below.

Top Tip – you can easily combine this with Storybook Land as they are right next to each other. Both rides tend not to have long queues in our experience.
Height Restrictions – There are no high restrictions on Casey Jr Circus Train Disneyland Paris but it is not suitable for pregnant women.
Direct Access – is not available for this ride.

Le Pays de Contes de Fees

Also known as Storybook Land I made the boys go on this on our last visit as the queue was really short. A boat which takes up to fifteen people passes through a series of static storybook scenes from various Disney stories. Although there are no animatronics the details are very good albeit a little tired in places. With the pandemic, boats are no longer full with one family at the back and one at the front.

Top Tip – Provides some relaxing old fashion fun if the adrenaline rides are getting too much. Also nice to sit for a while!
Height Restrictions – There are no high restrictions.
Direct Access – is not available for this ride.

Disneyland Paris It’s a Small World

Disneyland Paris It’s a Small World was undergoing refurbishment when we visited in May 2022. But we did go on this several times during our first visit. You travel on a boat around various different countries watching dolls dancing along to ‘Its a small world’ song. Dressed in the national dress you can also recognise other details and stereotypes from each country. Disneyland Paris It’s a Small World is a really nice ride for the whole family.

Top Tip – Although it is a popular ride it takes a lot of people at a time and so the queue moves relatively quickly.
Height Restrictions – There are no high restrictions.
Direct Access – is not available for Disneyland Paris It’s a Small World.

Adventureland Disney Paris

Adventureland Disney Paris is towards the back right-hand side of the theme park as you look at the map. As well as a couple of rides Adventureland Disney Paris also has some great adventure playgrounds and walk-through challenges for the whole family. Unfortunately when we visited in May much of this area was closed with only the bigger attractions open.

Disneyland Paris Indiana Jones

Billed as the big rollercoaster at Adventureland Disneyland Paris it is compact and a bit of a head shaker. The highlight of the Disneyland Paris Indiana Jones rollercoaster is a 360-degree loop but the ride is over all too quickly in my opinion. Saying that Charlie really enjoyed it and went on several times – although once was enough for me. It is located right at the back of the park in the far lefthand corner of the theme park so it does mean that it’s a walk from most of the rides.

Top Tip – Disneyland Paris Indiana Jones is a little old. I think especially when visiting with children that you can use a direct access pass on a more worthy ride. You can get a photo of the riders before they go by standing on the left where there is a space in the wall.
Height Restrictions – you need to be 140cm to ride the Disneyland Paris Indiana Jones rollercoaster. It is not suitable for pregnant women.
Direct Access – is available and you get on quite quickly.

Pirates of the Caribbean Disneyland Paris

A fantastic water ride where you do not get wet (well not very). Instead, you travel through the Caribbean when it was occupied by pirates. With lots of animatronics and singing. You watch the pirates overtake a town, visit Davy’s locker and see Captain Jack Sparrow on his pile of gold. Pirates of the Caribbean Disneyland Paris lasts a reasonable time and as a boat takes a good number of people the queue does go reasonably quickly. It is a ride we tend to have several goes on and it never gets boring, I would say it is the best of Disneyland Paris rides. Part of the photo pass.

Top Tip – if you are sitting on the outside you may get a little wet at one point but its not significant. When you are queuing and you get to the final section as there are two boats being filled at a time there are actually two queues. But most people miss this and just queue to the right.
Height Restrictions – There are no height restrictions for Pirates of the Caribbean Disneyland Paris but it is not suitable for pregnant women
Direct Access – Is not available on Pirates of the Caribbean Disneyland Paris.

Le Passage Enchanté d’Aladdin

This is another walk-through attraction but it deserves a mention. Often empty (or at least when we have visited) you are likely to get this to yourself. It is also a little hidden and quite often missed. You walk through undercover the story of Aladin and the lamp depicted in various scenes behind glass. The attention to detail is amazing and the pathways are wide enough for a buggy.

Top Tip – it is only a short walk through so you do not need to allow it long and make sure you do not miss the opportunity to pose with Aladin’s lamp a little further on.

Disneyland Paris Frontierland

Disneyland Paris Frontierland is our favourite land, partly because it has Big Thunder Mountain Railroad which is a great ride. And one of the boy’s favourites. But I also really like the theming with lots to see and do. You could really have stepped back into in time to the Mid West. Even the staff wear cowboy costumes.

Phantom Manor Disneyland Paris

The haunted mansion is a new ride to us we tried this for the first time on our visit in May. We had no idea what to expect from Phantom Manor Disneyland Paris. The start is epic as you go into a stretching room where you see the characters that live in the house age. Most specifically the bride who is still waiting for her man who was hanged by an evil phantom. Then you walk through some themed corridors before getting into a two-seater ride that takes you around various scenes telling the story of the bride that never was. Full of animatronics, creepy voices and atmospheric music. It is a very popular ride.

Top Tip – Phantom Manor Disneyland Paris may be a little scary for the youngest ones. Especially if you happen to have a group of school kids that don’t stop screaming through the process! Harry had just turned six and was not a fan.
Height Restrictions – There are no height restrictions for the ride but it is not suitable for pregnant women
Direct Access – Is available for Phantom Manor Disneyland Paris. To access it all you need to do is walk up the front steps to the Manor House instead of queuing to the side. As a large number of people enter the ride at once you should not have to wait long. We got on the next ride.

Thunder Mesa Riverboat Landing

We didn’t manage to fit this large steamboat ride in although did go on it on our last visit. You will see a sign telling you the times it is due to sail so it is easy to plan your day. When we visited there was no late afternoon or evening cruising which was a shame as I can imagine it would look pretty all lit up. Or watching the sun go down. The paddleboat takes around 400 people at a time so you would be very unlucky to not be able to get on the boat when you wanted. It gives great views of Big Thunder Mountain from the water with a few waterfalls thrown in. The trip takes approximately fifteen minutes.

Top Tip – It’s worth trying to get an evening ride where you can see the boat and shoreline all lit up in twinkly lights
Height Restrictions – There are no height restrictions for this ride.
Direct Access – Is not available on this ride

Disneyland Paris Big Thunder Mountain

Probably the biggest draw of Disneyland Paris Frontierland this ride is so much fun! And the boy’s absolute favourite when we visited in May. I think we must have gone on Disneyland Paris Big Thunder Mountain six times! A thrilling ride where you ride a mine cart up and down hills, with tight turns and areas of darkness. It is a good-length rollercoaster which is a lot of fun. And no head shaking! Part of the photo pass.

Top Tip – Disneyland Paris Big Thunder Mountain runs late into the night, we went on it as the sun was setting which really really made the rocks of the mountain come to life with a red hue. I can imagine it is also a very different experience in the dark as well.
Height Restrictions – The minimum ride height is 102cm and Disneyland Paris Big Thunder Mountain is not suitable for pregnant women.
Direct Access – It does have a Disneyland Paris direct access pass with the entrance being along the side to the right from the main entrance. Even using the pass there is still a significant queue. Also, it is worth noting that near the entrance to the direct access queue the wifi seems a bit patchy and many people were struggling to download it.

Main Street USA

There are not many Disneyland Paris rides in the Main Street USA area. The focus is very much on a themed street designed to replicate that of its American twin. Full of arcades, shops and eateries to explore. But if you have a steam fan then there is one of the best Disneyland Paris rides waiting for your in this area.

Disneyland Railroad

Although the is located under Main Street you can pick up the Disneyland Railroad from several different locations around the theme park. It is a great way to save little legs as you travel from one word to another. The authentic steam train pulls behind its several carriages which stop at both Frontierland Station and Discoveryland Station. When open – at the moment Discoveryland is closed due to refurbishment. It is a wonderful way to see everything the park has to offer. The ride is approximately twenty minutes long.

Top Tip – Main Street Disneyland Railroad Station is both the starting and exit point, with everyone being required to leave the train at this station. I was surprised to find that when we visited it closed relatively early at 5 pm as you would expect it to be more popular as legs get more tired.
Height Restrictions – There are no height restrictions for this ride
Direct Access – This is not available for Disneyland Railroad.

Walt Disney Studios Paris

Walt Disney Studios Paris is a lot smaller than Disneyland Paris but there are still several rides there. As well as a large number of theatres and shows. When we have visited before we had tended to head to this Walt Disney World first as the queues here can get long and there are only a couple of rides the boys wanted to go on. When we visited in May we decided to go after lunch. If we are lucky enough to go again I think I would revert back to our original plan. On the basis that a lot of the rides had long queues of 60 minutes and more. And many of the rides at Walt Disney Studios Paris do not have direct access.

Disney World of PIXAR

We can really relate to the Disney world of Pixar as they are probably the films which the boys watch the most. Especially Harry so he was delighted when he found rides with some of his favourite characters.

Disneyland Paris Cars Quatre Roues Rallye

One of two CARs rides. Disneyland Paris Cars Quatre Roues Rallye allows you to race each other in your favourite characters as they run next to each other. Operating high speed in the figure of eight you can control acceleration with the peddle. Just be careful not to crash. Charlie really enjoyed Disneyland Paris Cars Quatre Roues Rallye on our first visit. It is ideal for a Pixar Cars mad six-year-old.

Top Tip – It can get a bit busy!!
Height Restrictions – There is no height restriction for Disneyland Paris Cars Quatre Roues Rallye but it is not suitable for pregnant women.
Direct Access – This is not available for this ride.

Crush’s Coaster Disneyland Paris

Crush Coaster Disneyland Paris is probably our favourite rollercoaster, although Thunder Mountain comes a very close second. I think that is because it is so different each ‘car’ or rather turtle shell seats four people, back to back. This means that two of you are always facing in the wrong direction. Although it does spin you around as you go shooting up and down under the ocean. The scenery takes you through some of the key storylines from Finding Nemo. It is so fast it’s hard to take it all in. Although I still remember the neon jellyfish suspended in mid-air. Crush Coaster Disneyland Paris is so much fun and another of our best Disneyland Paris rides.

Top Tip – If you love coasters then you will love Crush Coaster Disneyland Paris. Head here first thing as this is a popular ride. When we visited in May by the afternoon the single-rider queue was over 75 minutes long. With the main queue being upwards of two hours. Use a direct access pass, although you will want to go on it again and again.
Height Restrictions – The minimum ride height is 107cm, this ride is not suitable for pregnant women.
Direct Access – yes! And use it. The entrance to the direct access is right next to the standard access. Although when we visited we still needed to queue for around 15 minutes each time. This was due to the sheer wait time of the normal queue for Crush Coaster Disneyland Paris. Out of all the direct access rides we went on this had the longest queue. But was completely worth it.

Ratatouille Disney Land

You travel around this ride as a rat through store cupboards and under tables. You relive some of the classic scenes from the loveable Ratatouille film in a moving 4D adventure. All while trying to keep away from Chef Skinner who wants you out of his kitchen you spin around in all directions. Ratatouille Disney Land is a fast-paced ride that the boys love. You do need to wear 4D glasses and if you do suffer from motion sickness like my husband then do be aware that it can make you feel a bit squiffy.

Top Tip – Queuing for Ratatouille Disney Land is predominately outside like many of the rides. But since this is a ‘big’ ride the queue can get very long so remember your waterproof if you are travelling during the rainy season. There are also some lovely little stalls selling classic French fare if you are wanting something different to the usual Disney-inspired fast food. Although be warned the ice cream stall right outside only accepts cash! We found out the hard way and had the 6-year-old tantrum to prove it.
Height Restrictions – There are no height restrictions but the ride is not suitable for pregnant women.
Direct Access – Is available for this ride.

Cars Road Trip Disneyland Paris

I love this ride! Cars Road Trip Disneyland Paris was a new edition to the theme park in June 2021 and it took us all by surprise. Who doesn’t love a road trip with your favourite CARS characters? Boarding a large bus with several carriages the ride takes a lot of people at once. Each carriage comes equipped with a TV screen to tell you about your journey. There are three different things to see during the trip, including a massive surprise halfway round. That we were not expecting! With life-size characters, fire and floods Cars Road Trip Disneyland Paris is a brilliant ride. It is also been declared the best Disneyland Paris ride by Harry!

Top Tip – All I will say is that if you sit on the left side you run the risk of getting wet. Albeit it was only a little splash.
Height Restriction – There is no height restrictions on Cars Road Trip Disneyland Paris.
Direct Access – It is possible to use a direct access pass on the ride. However when we visited it was not operating as you could get on the next ride without queuing.

ToyStory Playland

Toy Story Playland includes some of the best Disneyland Paris rides for the younger audience. With lots of fun rides but none with direct access passes, so you may want to consider using your extra magic time here.

Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop

This is a ride we wanted to get on but we left it too late in the day and the queue was over 50 minutes. There are six parachutes each seating six soldiers. First, you rise up and then you drop 82 feet above an army of green soldiers. So you feel like you are in a giant play set.

Top Tip – Like so many of the rides it is a popular one. There is no way to fast track so you will need to queue as with some of the other rides you may want to try and get there early.
Height Restriction – Riders need to be 81cm or more. This rides is not suitable for pregnant women.
Direct Access – This is not available for this ride.

Slinky Dog Zigzag Spin

Family fun slinky dog chases his tail and you clamber right on board to enjoy the ride. Going round in circles and up and down always leaves a smile on the boy’s face. The ride itself does not last that long which is just as well. And the queue moves reasonably quickly.

Top Tip – You are given a number when you get on the ride. This corresponds with a certain seat. As you go round quickly make sure the children are on the inside so you don’t accidentally squash them!
Height Restrictions – There are no restrictions on this ride although it is not suitable for pregnant women
Direct Access – This is not available for this ride.

RC Racer Disneyland Paris

You can not walk past the RC Racer Disneyland Paris ride without going OMG! The bright orange half-pipe 25-meter coaster is a take on Andy’s RC Racer from ToyStory. The ride is a huge version of the RC Racer which is then driven up and down the half pipe. The screams as the car goes up and down can be heard all over ToyStory Playland.

Top Tip – The RC Racer Disneyland Paris ride is similar in idea to the traditional pirate ship although a little more intense! So if you love the private ship then you will love this.
Height Restrictions – Riders need to be 120cm tall. This ride is not suitable for pregnant women.
Direct Access – This is not available for this ride.

Flying Carpets Over Agrabah

Located in Toon Studio we did not manage to visit this ride during our visit in May. It is similar to the Dumbo ride in the main park. Only this time you are flying on a magic carpet. There is a sacred scarab which you use to control the magic carpet. Not only can you go up and down but also tilt forwards and backwards.

Top Tip – Not only does it resemble the Dumbo ride but it is also just a popular
Height Restrictions – There are no height restrictions. The ride is not suitable for pregnant women.
Direct Access – This is not available for this ride.

Twilight Zone Tower of Terror Disneyland Paris

‘The’ ride in Walt Disney Studios is located in the Production Courtyard. Rumour has it that the Tower of Terror Disneyland Paris is truly terrifying. Maybe the name gives it away? Based on the paranormal the whole set is designed with this in mind with everything being a bit eery. With a haunted elevator that catapults you upwards and plummets you down 13 floors, with the floor missing!!! Part of the photo pass.

Top Tip – Although the height restriction would dictate that the Tower of Terror Disneyland Paris is suitable for younger kids. Even the adrenaline junkie almost ten-year-old decided the big drops were too much for him. So bear this in mind!
Height Restrictions – Riders need to be 102cm tall. This ride s not suitable for pregnant women.
Direct Access – You can use a direct access pass on Tower of Terror Disneyland Paris.

There we have it, all the best rides at Disneyland Paris. This doesn’t include all the theatre, Disney parades, shows, character meets and other entertainment within the park.
