Garsons Farm Pumpkin Parade PYO in Surrey – What to Expect

It has been a long time since we went pumpkin picking at Garsons Farm Esher. Since our last visit they have launched Garsons Pumpkin Parade, their annual pumpkin market. Being one of Surrey’s largest growers all the pumpkins offered for sale are grown on Garsons PYO farm. Making it an ideal place to pick out your perfect pumpkin. I was very surprised at the wide variety of pumpkins on offer. If you are thinking of visiting then read on about what to expect and our experience of visiting this pumpkin field.

Garsons Pumpkin Parade – What to Expect

If you are planning a visit to the dedicated pumpkin festival then here is what to expect:

How much does it cost?

This is a very popular pumpkin patch so you do need to book your pumpkin passes in advance. Sign up to the Garson’s email newsletter to get notification of when you can book tickets online. You need to book a half-hour time slot. Although you are free to spend as long as you would like there.
Pumpkin passes cost £4 per person and can not be used as a credit against pumpkins. There is no additional booking fee.
However we found that the pumpkin prices were very reasonable with large pumpkins costing just £6.99 each. With any that do not fit in the pre-defined holes cost £9.99 each.
When you leave you drive past a little hut with the exit tills. The staff open your boat to look at the different pumpkins you have purchased and measure them. Payment can be made by card or cash.
Garsons Farm Pumpkin Parade runs at select dates throughout October until the end of half term.

Arriving at Garsons Farm Pumpkin Parade

Garsons Esher is located on Winterdown Road you can use the postcode – Surrey KT 10 8LS.
You will enter the car park that sits next to the large garden centre.
There are plenty of signs directing you to the entrance of the parade which is in the pick-your-own area. You will need to have your pumpkin pass barcode to hand for scanning.
You drive around to the pumpkin parade event area which is towards the exit. When we reached it we were directed where to park. It is hard to miss with several white poly tunnels providing a covered area. As well as dried corn maze plants.

The Pumpkin Parade

There is a short walk from the car to the undercover area where you pass some wheelbarrows to pick up. Passing along a wiggly path with various signposts and things to photograph. Including a giant BOO sign which was my favourite.
As you enter the huge field there is a street food van selling various hot and cold drinks along with sweet treats. Including
There are three tunnels which is larger than previous years.
- The first is Garson’s Wild West – which is a selection of storefronts that you would expect to see in the midwest. With plenty of photo ops and a whole host of different varieties of pumpkins scattered along each side. Which is where we found the best pumpkins.
- The middle tunnel holds lots of different pallet boxes full of pre-harvested pumpkins which have been grown on their own farm. As well as the usual pumpkin carving variety there are lots of small multi-coloured and small varieties.
- In the last tunnel there are various children’s activities as well as more photo opportunities. Harry really enjoyed the interactive play features including the beanbag toss and the tin can alley in the children’s corner. There was even a tribute to Tailor Swift.
Harry was on the hunt for the largest pumpkins he could find. I would suggest that the majority of them would fall in the smaller size range although still perfect for carving.

We had a great family day out visiting Garsons pumpkin parade and made some new memories
