The Best Eurocamp October Half Term Holidays

The boys standing on the decking of our premium mobile home staying at Vilanova Park with Eurocamp

We have long been fans of a Eurocamp holiday. But until this year, we had never considered a Eurocamp break over the October half-term. I am not entirely sure why other than I thought the holiday parcs were closed at that time of year. However, since coming back from a 7-night stay at Eurocamp’s Vilanova Park, I am already looking at other options for October half-term breaks in 2025.

AD – We were invited to review Vilanova Park and gifted our stay as a result. All words and opinions are my own

Benefits of booking Eurocamp during the October Half Term

If you are looking for that final glimpse of the sun, then Eurocamp can be a great option. There are several benefits of booking during the half-term holidays.

  • We all know that trying to get great deals in the school holidays can be problematic. However, over the October half-term, Eurocamp offers extra discounts so you can make some fantastic savings. This means you can pick up October half-term breaks for under £300. Normally offering at least a twenty per cent discount.
  • Not only that, but you get extra discounts if you book more than one break over a year and a loyalty bonus.
  • We found that our stay at Vilanova Park made a very tranquil retreat. The holiday park was much quieter than during the Summer holidays. Which is exactly how we prefer it.
  • October half-term breaks are a great opportunity for active families that also want to explore the local area and tourist hot spots. Without the Summer rush getting in the way. Especially when you want to enjoy the excitement of Gardaland Theme Park or PortAventura Theme Park as we did.
  • It also gives you a chance to try out new destinations at a bargain price. Who knows, you may find a new favourite European destination.

Things to think about when booking Eurocamp during the October half-term

If you are planning to book a Eurocamp parc, then booking in the Autumn means there are some other things you may want to consider when planning your perfect holiday.

  • Unsurprisingly, there is less range of destinations during the October half term. They mainly concentrate in France, the shores of Lake Garda and on the Costa Dorada.
  • In the Winter months, some of the activities may not be open, such as the kid’s clubs and water slides. You will need to check these in advance. Especially if travelling to a location which has different school holidays.
  • Consider also the average temperatures of your chosen location, which will inevitably be less than during the Summer months. But for us, it makes it much easier to explore, and the boys are more willing to leave the side of the pool. While we were in Spain, the temperatures were around twenty degrees. Although we did get rain and packed for all weather eventualities.
  • I would recommend booking mobile homes with heating, we used ours during our stay.

The Best Eurocamp October Half-Term Holidays

To get the most up-to-date availability, it is best to check the Eurocamp website. When I last looked at the parts which were open over the end of October in 2025 and specifically half term week, there were 30 parts available. Out of the ones avaliable, the top five best Eurocamp sites, in my opinion, are:

  • Duinrell – which we visited a couple of years ago. Located in the Netherlands. It comes with a free theme park and an inside water park with many water slides and splash zones for younger ones. So you do not need to worry about a lack of things to do. If you want to explore, then both Amsterdam and Leiden are close by. It is unusual to find availability for this holiday parc, even less so in Eurocamp’s October half-term deals. Eurocamp at Duinrell – Everything you need to know before you go
  • Eurocamp’s Bella Italia Parc – This is another parc we have visited in the shoulder season. Spending the second week of the Easter holidays there. It is one of several parcs in the area. Peschiera is a short walk away, whihc gives you access to boats to explore the various towns around Lake Garda. You can also visit Verona, Milan and Venice, which are all a train ride away from the local train station. Gardaland is also very close by.
  • Vilanova Park – within easy reach of PortAventura World, there is plenty to see and do. With an on-site restaurant, mini golf, and the parc’s wellness centre that has an inside heated pool (extra cost). Around forty minutes from Barcelona, it is one that you do not require a car for. They also go in for half term in a big way, with the animation team putting on various activities over the three-day festival. The 10 Best Things To Do Near Vilanova Park.
  • La Croix du Vieux Pont’s – we have stayed overnight at this parc on our way down to the South of France. With laser tag, full-sized bowling alleys, mini golf and archery. One of the swimming pools is covered, meaning it can be used in all weathers. If you are planning on visiting Disney Land Paris, then this is the parc for you. Alternatively, you could visit Paris, which has plenty in the capital for children. It is also close to Parc Asterix , which is a fabulous theme park for slightly older children.
  • Camping Fabulous Village – this is not a Eurocamp holiday parc that we have visited. However, it would make a great location for an October half-term break. Due to its proximity to Rome. You can reach in around thirty-five minutes by public transport. Giving you plenty of options for things to do if the weather is not behaving.
