20 Easy Valentines Day Crafts for Kids. As we are working from home and homeschooling at the moment we are doing a lot of craft. It is a great way to relax after trying to get our heads around google classrooms and worksheets. However, they really need to be easy and simple for the boys to do. Since they are normally shattered and my patience has run its course by the end of the day. With Valentines Day fast approaching I thought I would share 20 Easy Valentine Crafts for Kids.  Also asking some other parent bloggers to share their favourites.

Button Hearts

It is so easy to create these and although I have used uniform buttons in this example. They look even better with a real miss mash. For little ones, it gives them a chance for their creativity to shine. 

Love Bugs 

You can make these with things you have in the craft box. Which is great if like me you are not feeling very organised at the moment. They make lovely little gestures to be left around the house at pertinent places. And would make a great surprise in a lunchbox or on a pillow.  We also write little notes to leave with ours

Valentines Cardboard Heart Decorations

I love a craft that will allow you to upcycle. At moment we are getting a lot of deliveries so these are a great way to use up some of those cardboard boxes. Plantable Seed Paper Hearts

Having just rediscovered a love for gardening we will be trying these this year. Sending them to the grandparents so they know we are thinking of them.  They are such a clever idea, read how to make your own over at Thimble & Twig. 

Wax Resin Heart Paintings

Another easy craft which can be done with the youngest of little ones. Yet for the older ones they can be left to create to their heart’s content. So the perfect craft if you are looking for one to span a bigger age range. Read more at Thimble & Twig.

Kissing Hand Pop-up Card

This is such a clever idea as not only is it a lovely card to make for a special loved one. But also a wonderful keepsake of how little those hands use to be. Find out how to make yours at Inside Laura’s Life. 

Valentines Ladybird 

The boys really like hunting for ladybirds. In fact Charlie asked if we could buy some extra for the garden last Summer. So this will be a big hit with all bug loving little ones. Read more – Daises & Pie

Fluffy Valentines Slime

Great fun to make and great fun to play with. I do not know a child who doesn’t like slime.  The boys always ask for it whenever they have the opportunity. So to make some homemade slime would be right up their street. Find out more over at Blissful Domestication.

Wax Hearts

Another upcycling idea, because if you are anything like us then wax crayons seem to multiply. With instructions on how to make these pretty little embellishments and ideas on how to use them in your valentines crafts. Head to The Mummy Bubble.

3D Foil Heart Card

This is such a clever idea and one we will be using to make our cards this year. Again upcycling and using things that you have around the house. Rainbow Heart Cookies

These look so bright and colourful and would make a wonderful gift to let people know you are thinking about them.  Although they look very professional. The Mini Mes and Me makes them sound so simple to make, that I think even we could manage it. 

Cute Felt Bunny Craft 

I do love a sewing project and this is super cute. Not only would it make a great craft for Valentines Day but also Easter.  With simple instructions and a free template, Blue Bear Wood gives you everything you need to get started. 

Needle Felt Hearts

These are so pretty and would look beautiful in a garland or could be used to make decorations. I would expect something like this to be difficult and although maybe not for the little ones because of the needles. The older kids could make some wonderful creations. Paper Heart Wreath

I think we will be decorating this year.  We don’t normally decorate for Valentines Day but I think we need to make more effort this year. These Paper Heart Wreaths from Hodge Podge Days would make a great decoration. I am sure the boys will have great fun making them for the house.

Wool Heart Wreath

I love you to the moon and back card

This is a story that both boys have loved and grown up with. I even have a little token with the words on it. So I loved this idea from Hodge Podge Days on using this well-known phrase to create a puffy paint card.

Pipecleaner Heart Decorations

A great idea for fine motor practice I think these would look great hanging on some spring twigs on the kitchen table. Pony beads are a hit with my two and can be brought easily and cheaply online. Read more over at In the Playroom.

Heart Bookmark

This is so cute and a great way to use up scrap pieces of felt. As it doesn’t always need to be red. You could make it in the recipient’s favourite colours and even embroider their initials on it should. Find out how to make your own at Red Kite Days.

Printable Book Marks

Keeping on a theme of bookmarks. You can not beat some colouring in for little ones and The Gingerbread House some lovely free printables. Ideal if you are wanting them to spend ten minutes engrossed in an activity that doesn’t need parent intervention. 

Valentines Day Playdough Recipe
