The Hungry Caterpillar Tu Clothing: Some stories just remind me of my childhood, The Hungry Caterpillar is one of these. The Very Hungry Caterpillar is designed, illustrated and written by one of the most celebrated children’s authors of all time, Eric Carle. First published in 1969, over 44 million copies of the classic picture book have been sold worldwide with one being bought every 30 seconds. I am not surprised that in the UK the beloved title also holds the spot as the most read children’s book!
I have tried to make sure its a story that the boys will have fond memories of too, holding a Hungry Caterpillar Birthday Party for Monkey’s First Birthday. So you can imagine my excitement when I was contacted by Sainsbury’s about their launch of a lovely new range of The Very Hungry Caterpillar baby wear suitable for newborn to twelve months. Which is a available exclusively at Sainsbury’s stores nationwide and online. My only problem is that Kipper is now thirteen months old and he’s not a small baby… So there was no way it was going to fit him. Although I thought I would give the towel a go…
Which I think he looks very cute in, although can you tell that he wasn’t that keen on wearing the hood…. Although it did turn into a good game of peekaboo… Its a great size, the hood is very roomy and there is plenty of room for Kipper’s large head! (He’s on the 94th percentile). One side is green toweling and the other side super soft velvet towelling. The features on the caterpillar’s head are embroidered. I was really surprised when I found out it was only £7 as it feels and looks like it should be more than that. Of course if your little one is younger then you may actually stand a chance of getting a picture with them snuggled up looking like a little caterpillar…
