20 Firework Displays in Kent 2024

Firework Displays in Kent. The boys love going to a firework display. Each year we try to visit one near to us. We are really lucky as there are so many different fireworks displays locally to choose from. Including lots to do on bonfire night in Kent.

This year Guy Fawkes night falls over a weekend which means that many of the fireworks events will fall on Saturday the 5th of November. Those fireworks events with processions will lead to road closures so it is worth checking these where you can. And to all locations, public transport is encouraged.

Many of the Kent bonfire night events are organised by local charities, bonfire societies and small local communities so there is not always a huge amount of information available. If on reading this post you have more information on the spectacular firework display in Kent. Then please let me know and I will add their details to this article. Updated October 2024

Firework Displays in Kent

There are many different towns and villages in Kent that hold local and community-organised Fireworks displays and Bonfire nights in Kent. I have done my best to find as many fireworks events as possible for you in the Kent area. But if you know of some professional firework displays that I am missing then please let me know.

Brands Hatch, near Swanley – British Truck Racking & Fireworks

2nd – 3rd November gates open at 5 pm
Ticket prices – You can book online for the tickets. Prices vary depending on the day. Please note that unlike last year fireworks are only on the Sunday
Parking available on-site but sold out for the Sunday.
This is a ticketed event where you can buy tickets online for what promises to be a great event.
The British Truck racing championship season ends with this finale over the weekend. You can buy an adult weekend ticket for £40, 13-15-year-olds weekend ticket would be £25 and kids under the age of 13 are free.
If you would like to attend only one of the days, Saturday works out the best value in terms of price with ticket prices starting at £20 and on Sunday at £29. There will be a twilight convoy of show trucks to watch, lots of entertainment with food trucks and drinks (licensed bar) available, and a stunning display of fireworks. A popular event you need to buy tickets in advance.

Central Park, Darford

Saturday 2nd November 5 pm – 9 pm
Ticket prices – this is a ticketed event with adult tickets costing £6 and a child ticket costing £3. You can book online for this event. Monies raised will be split between local charities
This annual charity display is run by volunteers from the Dartford Lions Club. They are a local charity group. The event will have lots of fundraising events taking place, a bonfire and the best fireworks display. This is a great local event where you will find not only lots of entertainment but plenty of options for food and drink as well.
Parking will be available in the Acacia Hall car park and access via the Millennium Bridge entrance (For one night only this car park shall close at 10.30 pm). This is a public car park which is ‘pay and display’.
The bonfire is lit at 7.15 pm and fireworks start at 8 pm.

Cornwallis Academy, Maidstone

Friday 8th November 5 pm – 8 pm
Ticket prices – general admission tickets start at £15 and family tickets are available, under 4s are free. Family tickets £35.
Parking is available at £5 per ticket.
This is a fairly new fireworks display but one that promises to be around for years to come. Building year on year in 2024 not only will you get the amazing fireworks and bonfire but also the addition of children’s fairground rides, hot food options, and sweet treats. You can also purchase a wristband for £10 which allows unlimited access to the funfair. Full details in the booking process of the rides available.

The Farriers Arms, Ashford

No details have been released for 2024 yet
Tickets prices – start at £12.50. Family tickets are £35. Under 5’s are free. Online booking is recommended
Parking is limited so it is recommended to use public transport
Gates open at 4.30 pm Friday and 5 pm Saturday
This pub is known for its annual events and the fireworks display they put on each year is one not to be missed. Friday night is centred around families where there will be a fireworks display, fancy dress competition, music, and lots of children’s activities including face painting to enjoy. With a focus on visual and low noise firework displays.
On Saturday you can expect a bonfire, fireworks, loud bangs, hot food, the drinks flowing, and even a DJ.

Great Lines Heritage Park

This firework display in Gillingham is no longer taking place after being cancelled last year.

Kent Life Heritage Farm Park, Sandling

Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd November – Entry from the afternoon over bonfire weekend.
Ticket prices – Adult tickets cost £18, children £15 and a family ticket for £60. Online booking is essential. Membership will give you 15% off these prices during the checkout process.
There is parking and the advantage of an overflow car park if needed. It is recommended to allow plenty of time as they can not guarantee parking for all onsite.
This is a great event for families and is advertised as offering vibrant bursts of nostalgia. The farm will open in the afternoon for families to enjoy fairground rides, animal feeding sessions, and play areas among the vintage buildings. The fireworks take place in the evening. You also have the enjoyment of glow sticks and food stalls. There is something for everyone here. Some items are cash only.

Maidstone Grammar School

Saturday 9th November – 5 pm – 8.30 pm
Ticket prices – this is a ticketed event with adult tickets costing £12 and child tickets being £5, family ticket is £28. Book online to avoid disappointment.
Parking is limited. Gates open at 5 pm, for you to enjoy the many various food stalls, and purchase glowsticks, candy floss and enjoy the atmosphere. The family-friendly display is due to start at 7 pm lasts 30 minutes and is set to party anthems. A fun night to support a local school.

Leeds Castle, Maidstone

Saturday 9th November and Sunday 10th November – 2 pm – 7 pm
Ticket prices – Individual tickets cost £27 for adults, £18 for children and under 3s are free, including entry to Leeds Castle
Parking is available but it is advisable to get there early
At Leeds Castle, the event is not just traditional firework displays, but also a laser and light show. This year with music inspired by colours in celebration of the Leeds Castle Foundation’s 50th anniversary. There will also be the addition of live music including a local band, food stalls, and children’s fairground rides. As well as the usual outdoor activities you can enjoy at Leeds Castle such as the maze and outdoor play areas. Grounds open at 2 pm for this event and there is something for the whole family.

Kent Cricket, Canterbury

Tuesday 5th November 5 pm till late
Ticket Prices – Advanced ticket purchases are available with discounted rates for Kent Cricket Fireworks. Prices start at £12 for an adult and £6 for a child (3-15).
Taking place at the Spitfire Ground. This event has become one of the most well-attended fireworks displays in Canterbury, with the last three year’s event all selling out in advance. The breathtaking firework display returns this year with a Fun Fair & live entertainment throughout the evening. With a backdrop of one of England’s first-class cricket grounds. It is an amazing event.

Tyler Hill Bonfire, Canterbury

This is not running in 2024 – Check the website below for updates.
Ticket prices – Adults £11.25 in advance of £13 at the entry point. Children 3-12 years will cost £6 in advance or at the entry point. Under 3’s are free. These are 2022 prices as they have not been released yet for 2023.
Limited parking is available and it is recommended to use public transport where possible as the parking lot fills up quickly.
A great family event with a big traditional bonfire to enjoy, a huge fireworks display, plenty of local food concessions and hot drink options, and a fairground to enjoy some brilliant rides. This is a lovely local event that has been going on for many years and gets bigger and better each time. You can get a discount online for buying tickets in advance but you can also pay on the night.

Quex Park, Thanet

Saturday 2nd November 2 pm – 10 pm
Ticket prices – available online via see tickets, adult price starts at £15.95, Children’s tickets under 15 years are £14.85 and under 5’s are £1. Family tickets cost £61.60 and there is a 50p booking fee per ticket. Cash only event
Parking is limited but free. Get there early to avoid disappointment.
This is a huge event which has lots of things to do including walkabout characters, fire performers and musical entertainment. There are two different pyromusical displays taking place at both 6.30 pm and 8.30 pm. Car parks open at 2 pm.

Lydden Hill, Dover

Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd November
Ticket prices – advance purchases only and start at £12.50. A weekend event including camping but you can choose to go on individual nights. Free parking,
Saturday is when the fireworks will take place and floodlit racing at night. Camping is an option for those wanting to enjoy a weekend pass with motorhomes welcome. Fireworks will take place on the Saturday night only around 5.45 pm.
This is a great event that not only will give you a fantastic fireworks display but you can also enjoy racing as well. You can get there in the morning and enjoy the racing action all day with a fireworks display to conclude the racing on Saturday evening.

Hook and Hatchet, Hucking

Dunorlan Park, Royal Tunbridge Wells

Saturday 2nd November 5.30 pm till 7.30 pm
Ticket prices – advanced tickets can be purchased for a discounted rate online. Family tickets are available from £22 or an adult single ticket start at £10.50
There is no parking so you will need to park in the town centres car parks and walk or use public transport. There are limited disabled spots available but these are on a first-come-first-served basis.
While this is not a cash-only event it is recommended to bring cash with you
The fireworks display will start at 7 pm but there is plenty to see and do in the park while you wait. There will be lots of food on offer including curry and burgers as well as soft drinks. Plenty for all the family to enjoy.

New Ash Green Fireworks

Saturday 2nd November 6 pm – 9 pm
Ticket prices – Early bird discounts are available for advance ticket purchases. Prices start at £6 in advance or £8 on the night see the website for where to purchase.
Parking is limited and those living locally are encouraged to walk to the event. You can park in the car parks around the village but spaces will be limited.
This is a family-friendly event with plenty to see and do including great food stalls and light-up merchandise available. Advance tickets will see you get an early bird discount. Entry is only at specified entrances so it is worth checking the website for more information.

St Michaels Prep Fireworks Night, Otford

No dates released for 2024
Ticket prices – Advance tickets only, no ticket sales on the night. Start at £15 for an adult and £12 for a child. During the checkout process you select if you would like a vegetarian option. Booking fees also apply.
The price included a hot dog, hot chocolate or mulled wine
Car parking is available but the school is asking for this information to be submitted so they can monitor the car parking situation. You can purchase a car park ticket (for free) when you book your tickets online.
A lovely local event where there will be fun, food, drinks and fireworks. This is a ticketed event so does require you to buy the tickets in advance as you can’t buy them on the night. But you get to enjoy a hot dog and either a hot chocolate or mulled wine with your ticket price.

Tonbridge Annual Fireworks

Sunday 3rd November 5 pm – 9 pm
Ticket Prices – Tickets brought in advance are cheaper at £10.50 for an adult and £6.50 for a child with under 5s being free. From the 30th of October these increase to £12 and £8.
Taking place at the Racecourse Sports Ground in Tonbridge Park. All surrounding public car parks are available to use for the event. Food and drink will be available including a licensed bar. LED toy concessions so bring the pocket money. One of the best displays in the area.
Fireworks will start around 6.30 pm.

Sevenoaks Rugby Club

No details released for 2024
Ticket Prices – Cheaper if purchased in advanced, adults £10, children £5 with under 5s being free. At the gate or online on the day this will increase to £15 for an adult and £10 for a child.
Torch-lit procession to start at 6 pm from the top of the High Street intersection to Sevenoaks School’s Froy Gate.
Fireworks display to start around 7 p.m. at Sevenoaks Rugby Club. Burgers & hot drinks are available for purchase on the field courtesy of the Lions.

Edenbridge Bonfire Night

Saturday 2nd November – 6.30 pm onwards – TBC 2023
Ticket prices – Reduced fees apply if brought before the event, £8 for an adult and £4 for a child with under 5s being free. They can be purchased from local shops. The website below has more information. On the night there are two ticket booths with prices at £10 for an adult, £5 for a child and £25 for a family.
Begins at 6.30 pm when a torchlit procession tours the town. Including teams from visiting Sussex bonfire societies, along with many brightly lit carnival floats, costumed walking parties, and marching bands.
After which everyone then makes their way to the local Recreation Ground where fairground rides, stalls, and a resident DJ playing popular music will keep everyone amused during Kent’s oldest and best traditional fireworks display.
During the show, two huge 10m tall effigies. Guy Fawkes and the somewhat more recent 20-year tradition ‘Celebrity Guy’ are demolished by a mixture of gunpowder and flames.

Rusthall Bonfire, Tunbridge Wells

Saturday 26th October – 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm
This is a free event and you do not need to book tickets
The evening starts with the opportunity to buy torches at 7 pm, and the procession starts at 7.30 pm. The bonfire is lit at 8.15 pm once the procession returns.
Some roads are closed locally – limited information is available.

Summer Firework Displays in Kent in 2024

In doing my research I came across a number of different locations in Kent that run Summer fireworks. Mainly along the coast. So although these have passed for 2023 I have listed them below with the dates they appeared this year. Along with links so that you can keep an eye out for 2024. They are such a great way to celebrate the Summer.
